Sadly, many do not realize that there are two groups in the “Prayer group”…. One who’s mediator is Jesus, and the other is Mary, His mother. Those of the former cannot abide and join with the latter, as they know that this one is dust, and to pray “to” the latter. is spiritualism (of Satan).

Even in times of hardship, when unity seems to be the solution, even in prayer, it should be unity in Christ, not man’s solidarity (ecumenism).

You don’t have to be a Jesuit in disguise to lead a Protestant church to Rome. Ezekiel 23 is a parable of Judah and Israel who went after the gods of the surrounding nations. These weren’t Assyrians in disguise. These were Jews seeking after the Assyrians.

And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbours,

We do need to be mindful of whom we invite to our pulpit.
Not knowing the content of the prayers and comments offered we can’t make comment on that aspect.
Were they invited under the pretence of ecumenism or just to show solidarity on a heartbreaking conflict.
Would you invite your catholic neighbour to have a season of prayer that this terrible conflict will come to an end according to God’s grace?
