Question; Which is the sabbath day? Answer? Saturday is the sabbath day. Question?Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday? Answer? We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transffered the solemnity from sabbath to Sunday in the Council of Laodicea?

From the Doctrinal Catechism we read this; Question: Have you any other power of proving the Church has the power to institute the festivals of precepts? Answer : Had she not had such power, she could not have done all that what the modern religionists agree with her; she could not have substituted the day of observance from Sabbath to Sunday a change which there is no scriptural authority.

From the Cardinal’s Gibbon’s book, The question’s box, P.179,”If Bible is the only guide for the christian, then the Seventh day Adventist is right in observing saturday with the Jew . Is it not strange for those who make bible as their only teacher should inconsistently follow in this matter the tradition of the Catholic Church.

How can a man-made day of worship – sunday worship be a spark to anyones spiritual life?

God is a spirit and He is the Lord of the 7th Day Sabbath.

When we submit to God through obedience, He gives us the Holy Spirit:

“And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. ”
Acts 5:32 KJV

Man-made things are after the flesh; they are carnal/man-made.

The carnal mind is against God; this is obvious because of the man-made laws clashing with God’s Holy Moral Laws.

Man-made laws cannot please God:

“5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. ”
