Amen , I came into the church in June 2004. Watching him on TV. He changed my life with his testimonies, and by the word of God, speaking in the straight truth quakes you to the bone marrow I pray he rest in peace, and I will see him in heaven someday…. None of us are perfect that he shall. We could all overcome by his testimony and putting his faith in the Lord.

This sermon was preached during the Pentecost 2000 . I watched and recorded the whole series. It was a blessing. I was blessed by his wife singing Are You Ready For Jesus to Come. This wife’s name is Sherrell and she sings with her two daughters at the beginning. I visited Pastor Lewis’ church in Southern California. They also had a son. She adored her husband and trusted him as her spiritual leader. I met her that day and she seemed very happy with her husband. The next time that I met her again, she was divorcing him. Why would she do that? Her “perfect” family was destroyed when she found out that her husband was committing adultery with one of the women involved in the ministry. Were the children also disgusted with their father? I don’t know, but his former family should have been mentioned. I watched a video of his ordination and the pastor giving the prayer mentioned his wife, Gwen, and his family. Was this a previous marriage? I am also concerned that the two “miracles” were not named.
Here’s another question. If a pastor commits adultery, should he remarry? Is he even eligible to remarry? Did he marry the woman with whom he committed adultery? I don’t know. God would expect a thorough repentance from His servant. All the ministerial awards can’t cover up this sin. In the Bible, we read of David’s sin and repentance. We also read of all his wives and children. Nothing was covered up.
