When Protestant churches shall unite with the secular power to sustain a false religion, for opposing which their ancestors endured the fiercest persecution, then will the papal sabbath be enforced by the combined authority of church and state. There will be a national apostasy, which will end only in national ruin. —Manuscript 51, 1899.

The people of the United States have been a favored people; but when they restrict religious liberty, surrender Protestantism, and give countenance to popery, the measure of their guilt will be full, and “national apostasy” will be registered in the books of heaven. The result of this apostasy will be national ruin. —RH May 2, 1893.

It is at the time of the national apostasy when, acting on the policy of Satan, the rulers of the land will rank themselves on the side of the man of sin. It is then the measure of guilt is full. The national apostasy is the signal for national ruin.—2SM 373 (1891).

When our nation, in its legislative councils, shall enact laws to bind the consciences of men in regard to their religious privileges, enforcing Sunday observance, and bringing oppressive power to bear against those who keep the seventh-day Sabbath, the law of God will, to all intents and purposes, be made void in our land, and national apostasy will be followed by national ruin.—7BC 977 (1888).

When the state shall use its power to enforce the decrees and sustain the institutions of the church—then will Protestant America have formed an image to the papacy, and there will be a national apostasy which will end only in national ruin.—7BC 976 (1910).

Roman Catholic principles will be taken under the care and protection of the state. This national apostasy will speedily be followed by national ruin.—RH June 15, 1897.

The invitation of Roman pontiff Pope Leo XIV to address the U.S congress, is a clear pointer to all the students of bible prophecy;that something big is coming and this is the beggining, there is a calm before the storm?'' The messenger of the Lord Mrs . Ellen .G.White predicted that the Roman Catholic principals shall be held and controlled by the states. When U.S.House speaker, Mike Johnson makes such kind of invitation for Pope Leo XIV,to address the joint session of congress ,it's a precursor of the enforcement of the National Sunday law in the United States ,which will later turn out to be universal sunday law. This action is a clear departure from the United States Constitution which prohibits congress from making laws that establish the religion. The Pilgrim Fathers who founded the United States fled from old world in Europe to escape religious persecution from the Roman Church during the ''dark ages '' period of 1,260 years they sought to establish a country free from tyranny and free from state religion. That's why they wanted to establish a country without a King and a Church without a Pope, and every body would worship God with his or her own consciousness. The pilgrim Fathers sought to establish a democratic country in the western hemisphere; free from political and religious persecution. This nation came into existence after the Papacy received it's ''DEADLY WOUND ''in 1798. The civil and Religious Liberty are the fundamental cornerstone of principals which established the United States ,the Republicanism and Protestanism. These Principals have made the United States to become the most powerful nation in the world. That's why John the revelator saw this nation , sprung up down from the earth and growing like a lamb;but later spoke like a dragon. In the book of' ''Great Controversy'' we are told that it's the United States which will form the image of the beast; When Papacy reigned in supreme in Europe for 1,260 years (538-1798) the church controlled the state affairs, but in America the constitution separates the powers of church and state. Inorder for U.S to form the image of beast the church must seek the state support inorder to accomplish her own ends. We know that Pope Leo XIV, stated he chose the name Leo which means ''Lion'' in Latin language. He cited the real reason as to why he picked the name '' Leo is because he wrote an encylical letter called RERUM NEVORUM which advocated for Sunday worship by law,that his predecessor Pope Leo XIII , who ruled the world from (1878-1903) in the era of industrial revolution. What the Pontiff wants is the world to worship him and observe Sunday and partake the Eucharist.?''Perhaps no one knows whether in the near future the American Pope might influence President Trump to change the constitution and pass sunday laws which give honour to Rome. Let's have the perfect character of Jesus Christ when these events unfold? ''Amen''.

I am VERY much opposed to asking this man to come and speak . It is against the Separation of Church and State. This was implemented to protect against any religious power taking away our religious freedom. I am also appalled at calling this man “his holiness”. Jesus Himself said that no one is Holy except God, and he certainly isn’t God. He should not be asked to address the joint session of congress. His opinions do not represent the millions of those representing other faiths, and should not be considered.
