There are TWO books which "stand above all others". Seventh-day Adventists have all but abandoned the second book.
“The books ‘Daniel and Revelation’ and ‘The Great Controversy’ are the books which above all others, should be in circulation now. Give them to the people. Light and truth they must have.” 21MR, 452
The result of ignoring, and even scoffing at the book "Daniel and the Revelation" has directly led to the massive confusion over the correct interpretations of Daniel 11. To wit: Daniel 11:44 was fulfilled in 1856 by the Crimean War. If it were not so, the Testimony of Jesus, which is the spirit of prophecy, would have told us. Sufficient evidence, from Ellen White, has been given as to what is truth. Ellen White declared the "Eastern Question", which is Daniel 11:45, as presented by our pioneers, TRUTH. We blatantly ignore this counsel.

“Sunday forenoon Elder Smith spoke upon the ‘Eastern Question’ [Daniel 11:45] . . . the great day of the meeting was over. Many had listened to the TRUTH, and the day of final reckoning will reveal the results of that day’s meeting.” {Letter 10a, 1877} (unpublished)
Twenty years later she stated much the same:
“Elder Daniells speaks this evening upon the ‘Eastern Question’ [Daniel 11:45]. May the Lord give His Holy Spirit to inspire the hearts to make the TRUTH plain.” {Ms189-1889, Dec. 25, 1898} (unpublished)

I love studying the Sabbath. There are things about the Sabbath that I have never heard a pastor mention before. 1) God refers to the Sabbath as "my Sabbath" 15 times in the Bible. 2) In Ezekiel 20, the Sabbath is separated from the statutes and judgments 6 times. This gives it priority. 3) Question: there are 6 items in the sanctuary. Why only 6? Are the Commandments inside the Ark and are they possibly the 7th item. 7 is represented in the Bible as completeness. (7 churches, 7 days in a week, 7th day Sabbath, 7 stars etc) 4) God had such a FORMAL display the first time the Commandments were given Exodus 19:16-25 (smoke, thunderings and lightenings, borders to keep people off the mount lest they die, clouds, quake, voice of a trumpet sounding long). How is it that God did not put on such a display if any one of the Commandments had been changed? Because it had not been changed. 5) No other day of the week was ever made Holy, by God, in the entire Bible 6) J H Waggoner recorded an early church debate, concerning the Sabbath, which can be read in the book "A Discussion upon the Sabbath". In this book is one of the best arguments for the Sabbath I have ever heard... "When a law is once enacted by proper authority, it must remain in force till the same authority repeals it; and the repeal must be as plainly stated as the original enactment."

Many more things I have come up with. One of the most compelling arguments I have against a Sabbath change... If there is evidence that there was a glimmer of Sabbath change in the Bible, why is it not clearly stated in each of Pauls epistles or Peter, James, John or Jude? These writings were not heavily circulated to all the cities like books and pamphlets of today. Paul wrote his epistles specifically for the cities they were sent too. In the KJV Bible, the word "scripture" appears in the OT once (Daniel 10:21) and it appears in the NT 52 times. Most assuredly the only scripture that was circulated or understood of that time was contained in the writings of the OT not the NT?

I have so many more arguments. I just love studying the Bible. Maranatha! :)

Turning to Sunday must be slow and methodical because Sabbath rest is our base. Otherwise many would turn away from the church.
If only we could be more plainer in speaking about The Sabbath of The Lord, which was given to all humanity by Christ, The Lord of The Sabbath. The Sabbath is neither Saturday or Sunday which is measured from midnight to midnight, but from sunset Friday to sundown Saturday and alternative is a very poor substitute and is never like for like, nor can it compare, why?

1. The popular rest day the 1st day of the week is not only from midnight Saturday to midnight Sunday it only encourages no work and spending time with families or spending a portion of time in religious service and the possibility of helping others in need.

2. Unlike The Sabbath of The Lord, one can freely think, plan what work or personal business one will do when the 1st day has past and one gets back to regular weekly work, while during the sacred hours of The Sabbath, we are not encouraged to think of our won business which is not wrong and sinful during the period between sunset Saturday to sunset Friday, if we continue to think along the same lines during the sacred hours of sunset Friday to sunset Saturday, then its a sin and Seventh Day Adventist will be more guilty than any other Christian to transgress The Sabbath Commandment.

3. Finally we are encouraged as Christians to live between sunset and sunset as Paul wrote...Be angry and sin not, let not the sun go down on your wrath...(Ephesians 4: 26) therefore if there was any disputes between members all should be settled before sunset and if this was done, there would never be a single divorce among the people of God, so separation, no break of friendships or spoiled relationships, all differences would be put aside and all will live to please Christ and each other at the same time.

To conclude, it's interesting to note that The Sabbath Commandment was not stated in this manner...After 6 days remember The Sabbath day to keep it holy (in this numbering formation 1,2,3,4,5,6,7) The Sabbath is stated in this numbering formation... 7 (1,2,3,4,5,6) 7...Remember The Sabbath Day to keep it holy, 6 days shall you labour and do all your work but the 7th day is The Sabbath of The Lord... Yes, humanities first full day was The Sabbath, between sunset the 6th day to sundown the 7th day, The 4th Commandment is stated with that in mind and when sin and all unrepentant sinners are no more, the redeemed of all ages shall live from Sabbath to Sabbath (Isaiah 66: 22 and 23)

Finally The Sabbath was made for all humanity and in a sense it was kept by all in our first parents Adam and his wife as all human beings come through them, the difference is that today we can freely choose to accept or reject The Sabbath. So looking forward to the future glad tomorrow the redeemed of all ages will celebrate The Sabbath of The Lord before God and His Christ, Amen & Amen.

Whatever others plan to do, let's never forget to Remember The Sabbath of our Lord, Amen.

Question is, what are we doing?
I have a suggestion: In addition to sharing the Great Controversy (which I hope all of us are doing), I would like to solicit your support in distributing the book, God's Sabbath Truth...a decision to make.

This book deals exclusively with the Sabbath/Sunday issue. It is a simple, systematic study of God's Sabbath from creation to redemption. It is presented from the perspectives of Bible prophecy, history and contemporary world affairs.

I invite you to take a free look at the introduction and first chapter by clicking on the link below.

If you think that my suggestion has merit, please call to discuss further.
