The idea that Revelation 13:18 is inviting us to count the name of the beast by assigning numbers to letters (like using Greek or Hebrew gematria) is popular, but not explicitly supported by any biblical principle or command. Let’s examine this critically and biblically: ⸻ Revelation 13:17–18 — What Does It Say? “…the number of his name.” “Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” (Rev. 13:17–18) This is often taken as license for name arithmetic, but… ⸻ Is Name-Counting (Gematria) a Biblical Principle? This same man, Mike Ryan said: “The Jesuits are our friends and advisers”! to David Gates. See 3 min. video here: http://www.tinyur.com/free-mikeryan David’s wife was there too. A personal one on one meeting Ryan said that to David. So, Ryan can act like he wants to give the third angel’s message, but he is only preaching to the choir. He was not preaching this to all the folks in St. Louis. He used the word “our” which means the conference leadership at the GC headquarters where he was working as VP there when he met David Gates. Please do not drink the wine from these conference leaders!!!
