I fully agree, with only a small reservation about the formulation that God has always “existed”… This word is commonly used, however, what does it actually express? The word Exist comes from Latin, and means, to be of someone or something, to be one’s “effect”.

Ex-ist. It is of someone. For God’s being, I would rather choose the term, God is eternal, His being never ceases. We humans exist, angels exist, the universe exists, God is the only self-in-being. God’s Aseity is just His divine attribute. God is not an existence, but the Cause of all existences in the universe visible and invisible to us.

The Adventist Church did not adopt this in 1980 as you said. The church has always defended what is in the Bible that Jesus Christ is the Word that was with God and the Word was God. So since God has always existed, obviously he could not have been created.
