Hello C.W.,
It is because the Bible gives so many warnings about the papacy that Seventh-day Adventists and all TRUE Protestants raise their voices against “the man of sin.” We can all see that Islam is errant with regard to the scriptures. Babylon however, twists the Word of God in order to deceive, making them much more dangerous. Muslims put a lot of stock in miracles and Mary. It is through communications from “Mary” and other supposed spirits of the dead that Islam and the rest of the world will unite with the “harlot.” Glad you are reading the Great Controversy though.

Catholics believe “the basics” of the Bible. Muslims do not believe that Jesus died on the cross nor
resurrected. (They also believe that the Bible is inaccurate and call Christians and Jews infidels.) While Muslims call Islam “a religion of peace” they
actually have a history of violence. Catholicism has its share of problems but Islam has much more. Are Seventh-day Adventists blind to this? Was Ellen White? I think so. The proof is that you read nothing about radical Islam in The Great Controversy. Why not? Even Jesus gave us hints about
this in Matthew 24 (“desert”) and Revelation 20 (“beheadings”). Are these hints more applicable to Catholics or Muslims? (Here’s another hint: Do
beheadings occur in Catholicism today? I hope the reader answered “no”.) As to worldwide Sunday laws, do you think that Muslims will support and
follow anything in the name of Christianity? (Remember, Muslims call Christians infidels.) Seventh-day Adventists are in for another “great disappointment” when worldwide Sunday laws never happen. It’s time for them to get out of the farmer theology of the mid to late 1800’s. Amen?

The pope is called in scripture. The little horn power, man of sin, son of perdition Babylon.the harlot, great whore and anti christ. In Prophets and Kings p.183-184, satan’s vice regent and in S.T. Feb. 19, 1894, satan’s “masterpiece deception” In the same article she declares that “it is a backsliding church that lessens the distance between itself and the papacy. So any relations with Rome can be considered as “sleeping with the enemy.” The outcome of such activity is never good, especially since the “Vatican “is by its own definition of the word is a “divining serpent.” And serpents do bite and kill their unsuspecting victims.
