This is ecumenism at its worst. This is what Rome’s interfaith movement will lead people to say and believe. This is what Diop learned while getting his PhD at a Vatican-approved Catholic university. No matter how often church leaders tell us today that mingling with Rome is good, the truth is that these unfaithful watchmen will no longer lift their voice against apostasy, heresy, or serious theological errors.
On March 2, 2024, Ganoune Diop participated in a religious liberty conference in Huntsville, Alabama, and spoke about the need for Seventh-day Adventists to be the “most ecumenical people in the world. He spoke about how the Seventh-day Adventist Church has participated in ecumenical encounters with other churches as early as 1957 and that these engagements allowed us to be put on the official list of “genuine” Christians. According to Diop, being on the approved list was something that Bert Beverly Beach and John Graz had done, and Diop is now doing it himself to ensure that Adventists remain on the list of true Christians with Protestants, Orthodox, and Roman Catholics.

It is God’s approval, not man’s, that we need. This is the reason why Adventism is being changed and refashioned to resemble the other churches, so that we can be on the approved list. This is causing us to compromise our standards on health, dress, music, doctrinal emphasis, and worship by adopting the worldly mold. This contradicts the explicit advice God gave us:
“I was shown that there was too much comparing ourselves among ourselves, taking fallible mortals for a pattern, when we have a sure, unerring pattern. We should not measure ourselves by the world, nor by the opinions of men, nor by what we were before we embraced the truth. But our faith and position in the world, as they now are, must be compared with what they would have been if our course had been continually onward and upward since we professed to be followers of Christ. This is the only safe comparison that can be made” (Testimonies, Vol. 1, p. 406).
Diop then tried to redefine for us that ecumenism is not bad, not if Christ is the center of the engagements. He actually had the gall to talk about counterfeit ecumenical meetings that we must avoid, which he defined as those that seek to put the Pope or some other man as the head. Instead, he argues, we need an ecumenism of Christ. And if it is centered around Christ, then it is good. The only problem is that we first have to define what kind of Christ we are going to unite with; the Jesus of the Bible, or one of the many false Christs that the world has created?
Diop, like Pope Francis, is promoting peace and unity by talking about a Christ who supports a non-doctrinal Christian forum of false Sunday worship, Eucharistic celebrations, the adoration of Mary and the saints, and letting people remain in their gross errors. Surprisingly, though, Diop supports all ecumenical movements and doesn’t identify which are real and fraudulent. Since he is present in every ecumenical event—including the ones where Pope Francis is the head—which ones are the fakes?

For example, in a show of unity with top Lutheran leaders and Pope Francis, Ganoune Diop marked the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation with Catholics and Protestants as they sought reconciliation and pledged to move from conflict to communion, to embrace a common witness, to be one in Christ, and to call upon all to seek solidarity. So once again, where are the so-called counterfeit ecumenical gatherings that Diop does not work with, because he is in all of them? [1] [2]
Diop is embracing and asking us to advance an ecumenical movement that will unify the churches worldwide under the “Lordship of Jesus Christ.” [3] All of the main ecumenical institutions, including the Vatican and the World Council of Churches, are striving toward this same goal. Furthermore, Ganoune Diop is silently bringing the ecumenical ambassadors into the General Conference Sessions of Adventism—without making any public announcements. [4]
Actually, when it comes to ecumenism, Diop is a shining example and the epitome of what the Vatican seeks to establish.
• He is the secretary for the annual Conference of Secretaries of Christian World Communions. [5]
• He is on the planning committee of the annual Global Christian Forum Conference. [6]
• He is a speaker and participant in the G20 Interfaith Forum. [7]
• He is on the program planning committee for the World Council of Churches. [8]
• He speaks at other regional, national, and international ecumenical events. [9] [10]
Ganoune Diop is, in fact, the world’s greatest ecumenical agent. The most startling aspect of this, though, is that he is redefining what the Three Angels’ Messages are all about. According to him, Revelation 14 is ecumenical, or “OIKUMENE,” and for that reason, we have to embrace ecumenism.
What a blasphemous and perverted attempt to annul the most solemn message ever entrusted to mortal men! He is singlehandedly going around and telling people that Adventism is ecumenical, and by doing so, he is trying to alter God’s divine word, which commands us to come out of Babylon rather than joining them. Rome supports Diop’s ecumenical mission because it will eventually lead us to accept the Catholic Church as the one true church. We cannot afford to deny men and women access to the authentic truth that God has revealed to us. We have to disregard Diop’s advice. Never trust it. Revelation 14 is the most fearful threat to all those who follow the beast, embrace his image, and receive the mark.
Everything is ripening for the final fulfillment of biblical prophecy. The greater the influence that this union of churches has in the world, the more power Rome receives. We are witnessing the greatest consolidation of power this world has ever known. There are forces at work that will soon rob us of our individual freedoms and force us to obey the dictates of an ecclesiastical tyranny that will exceed in power and influence anything previously known in history.
Let the healing of the “deadly wound” be finalized and let the union of all religions be consummated, and immediately the prophecy will be fulfilled that says, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads; and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16, 17.
Already, the minds of men and women are being prepared to give up their individual rights and beliefs for the common good. If we want to preserve our individual freedom, let us check the growth of these religious and political confederations and not join them. Let us speak out and say what God has said about this. If we value our freedom as we should, we will do everything possible to stop any attempt to destroy our liberty of conscience. These global religious confederations are to be feared because we know that this consolidation of power will only come together to crush the voice of the minority.
“The world is against us, the popular churches are against us, the laws of the land will soon be against us. If there was ever a time when the people of God should press together, it is now. God has committed to us the special truths for this time to make known to the world. The last message of mercy is now going forth. We are dealing with men and women who are judgment bound. How careful should we be in every word and act to follow closely the Pattern, that our example may lead men to Christ. With what care should we seek so to present the truth that others by beholding its beauty and simplicity may be led to receive it. If our characters testify of its sanctifying power, we shall be a continual light to others—living epistles, known and read of all men. We cannot afford now to give place to Satan by cherishing disunion, discord, and strife” (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 236).

The Bible Swagman says
This is What new Movement Adventism would do. Form a Union with Rome and become Satan’s Harlot in her own Right Like Rome.
The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists,
and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process
of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given
to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the
work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be
written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a
wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in
the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their
dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest
would sweep away the structure.
Who has authority to begin such a movement? We have our Bibles. We have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this
truth?

Be not deceived; many will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We have now before us the
alpha of this danger. The omega will be of a most startling nature. We need to study the words that Christ uttered in the prayer that
He offered just before His trial and crucifixion. “These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is
come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life
to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou
hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me
with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou
gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word” (John 17:1-6)

The Only People God regards as his Own. A People, a Congregation or Assembly.
The Lord will put new, vital force into His work as human agencies obey the command to go forth and proclaim the truth. He who
declared that His truth would shine forever will proclaim this truth through faithful messengers, who will give the trumpet a certain
sound. The truth will be criticized, scorned, and derided; but the closer it is examined and tested, the brighter it will shine.
As a people, we are to stand firm on the platform of eternal truth that has withstood test and trial. We are to hold to the sure pillars of
our faith. The principles of truth that God has revealed to us are our only true foundation. They have made us what we are. The lapse
of time has not lessened their value. It is the constant effort of the enemy to remove these truths from their setting, and to put in their
place spurious theories. He will bring in everything that he possibly can to carry out his deceptive designs. But the Lord will raise up
men of keen perception, who will give these truths their proper place in the plan of God.
1SM pg 186
We need to understand clearly the divine requirements that God makes of His people. The law, which is the transcript of His character, no one need fail to understand. The words written by the finger of God on tables of stone so perfectly reveal His will concerning His people that none need make any mistake. The laws of His kingdom were definitely made known, to be afterward revealed to the people of all nations and tongues as the principles of His government. We
would do well to study those laws recorded in Exodus 20 and in the thirty-first chapter, verses 12-18.
When the judgment shall sit, and the books shall be opened, and every man shall be judged according to the things written in
the books, then the tables of stone, hidden by God until that day, will be presented before the world as the standard of righteousness.
Then men and women will see that the prerequisite of their salvation is obedience to the perfect law of God. None will find excuse for
sin. By the righteous principles of that law, men will receive their sentence of life or of death.

Ganoune Diop it Seems has made his Choice, Who do serve? A Church Leader who is leading his flock to Damnation or Christ?
Pedro says
Similar to how the biblical prophet Balaam persuaded Israel to sin by allying with the Canaanites, Diop is currently doing the same.
Israel says
We have to to be the most evangelistic people no the ecumenical ones
He has not a “PhD” but a P.H.D.: Permanent Head Damage.
Samuel Kimani Njoroge says
Ganoune Dioup is a servant of Rome , he was educated at sorbonne university in France. He is at fore front in making ecumenical meetings bringing together leaders of other churches and he himself is an active player while disguising himself as leader of religious liberty . He is a Jesuit wearing sheep’s clothes yet he is a ravening wolf.
Ruthie says
I suppose Diop means well & believes what I heard him say in the video. We can’t be separate & “come out” of the false system if we’re having get-togethers & photo-ops with them. He’s just doing what his boss tells him. If Diop ever really truly preached Rev14 3AM, they would grab him & say “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out… oh, you’re no longer Secretary… also, don’t come back.”
John says
He is a Jesuit plant doing his duty to alter the way that Adventists view our mission.
Janet Meredith says
True but so sad.
Marie says
The most recent General Conference sessions saw the unlawful reelection of Ganoune Diop. They staged a mass vote to include him in the group and didn’t allow any conversation over his qualification. It was so obvious that they used politics to force him back in. The GC is complicit with everything he does.
Janet Meredith says
That was so disappointing. He should not be in any SDA office.
Cry Aloud says
Unfortunately many see only Diop as the most apostate men in GC. But the man is just a footsoldier, a mouth piece representing the entire GC leadership. A fish rots from the head. It all started with NC Wilson in 1979. Since then catholic teaching took over. We called it new theology. What I see in Diop is exactly what I see in Ted Wilson. They all have one mind. But many are already received. The three angels messages in the cities have been effectively replaced by a social gospel. Many don’t know the difference.
Hansen says
“Dr. Diop has a Masters in Exégèses and Theology from Collonges, France, a Masters degree in Philiology from the University of Paris, and a PhD in Old Testament Studies from Andrews University. He is currently a PhD candidate in New Testament Studies.”
Cry Aloud says
The PH in PHD stands for philosophy. I don’t need to elaborate further. Now I see a number of our pastors currently doing Masters and PHDs in Catholic universities. Atleast I know one pastor studying at a Jesuit university being given instructions about how to become a faithful protestant minister and theologian by a practising Jesuit. What a deception. I feel sorry for many in our church who have eyes but do not see.
