Adventist Pastor Dietmar Paschel is head of the Convention of Seventh-day Adventist Churches in Berlin, Germany. He is also the Chairman of the Ecumenical Working Group of Free Churches in Berlin-Brandenburg. [1] [2] On Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., Adventist Pastor Dietmar Paschel visited the Maria Regina Martyrum (Mary Reigning Queen) Catholic Church in Berlin, Germany and met with Roman Catholic Archbishop Dr. Heiner Koch and Roman Catholic Monsignor Dr. Hansjorg Gunther, both from the Diocese of Berlin. Also in attendance were Bishop Dr. Christian Stablein from the Evangelical Church in Germany and Bishop Emmanuel of Christoupolis from the Greek Orthodox Church of Germany. [3] [4]
Five men representing the different churches bowed their heads individually before a golden idol inside the Catholic Church before the start of this interfaith worship service, which included prayers, songs, and Bible readings. At minute 13:30 of a video released by the Ecumenical Council Berlin-Brandenburg, you can see the Catholic Monsignor, the Seventh-day Adventist pastor, the Orthodox Bishop, the Evangelical Bishop, and the Catholic Archbishop bowing their heads before a golden image of Jesus on a cross inside the Roman Catholic Church. In the images above, Adventist Pastor Dietmar Paschel is seen bowing to a golden idol. Where is the protest? Where are the reparations for this grave error? Where are the tears, sorrow, and prayers of repentance? Where are the calls to expel this darkness from among the people? Where is the worldwide outcry by the faithful against these abominable, ecumenical and interfaith engagements?

This man, who bows in front of golden idols in Catholic churches, is representing Seventh-day Adventists at ecumenical events in Germany. Has it occurred to anyone at either the North German Union Conference or the South German Union Conference to read the Ten Commandments, especially the Second Commandment, which forbids bowing to graven images? God says idolatry is a grievous sin. Because of this, ancient Israel was destroyed, and this evil isn’t just knocking on the door; it’s already entered the church.
“But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them. Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils.” Psalm 106:35-37.
“For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.” Psalm 78:58.
Behold the ecumenical god of gold! This is the golden god of Rome’s ecumenical movement that Seventh-day Adventist leaders are bowing to. What was once condemned as idolatrous and sacrilegious is now part of our mission and religious duty, according to the ecumenical agents within Adventism. Brother and sisters, this is modern-day pagan idolatry masquerading as Adventism. The Bible is clear that bowing the head in reverence is an act of worship.
“And they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.” Nehemiah 8:6.
According to the Bible, bowing the head as a religious expression is an act of worship, but bowing your head in reverence to an idol is pagan worship. And God’s word also clearly tells us that the prayers, songs, Bible readings, and mediations that were being directed at the golden idol were not offerings to God but to the devil:
“What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing? But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?” 1 Corinthians 10:19-22.
In minute 54:09 of the video, you will see the ecumenical leaders, including the Seventh-day Adventist pastor, turn to face the golden idol and start singing to it. [5] They were not singing or looking at Jesus. They are venerating an idol. This event was called a “Prayer for Peace in Ukraine,” but it turns out that, in addition to praying for peace in Ukraine, the ecumenical service included singing, praying, and bowing to a golden idol.
Praying in perfect synchronization? The Roman Catholic Monsignor (extreme left) lifts his hands in unison with the Seventh-day Adventist leader (extreme right). They look like puppets in the hands of the master, the Archbishop, the Pope’s representative, standing in the middle with the golden idol behind them.
Ecumenism has become the golden calf of Egypt and the golden image of Babylon. If God didn’t approve of idolatry in biblical times, what makes you think He supports His people bowing to golden idols today?
“And all the people brake off the golden earrings … he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.” Exodus 32:3, 4.
Moses did not bow down to the golden calf; instead, he set fire to it and denounced the idolatry in the camp (Exodus 32:20). Where is the protest today? Where is the call to utterly repudiate all of these idolatrous manifestations? Who will be the first to say that we must reject this and that we should have no affiliation with their movement? This means that “religious liberty” should not be used as an excuse to support and participate in a movement that is so offensive to God.
“To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages … fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up.” Daniel 3:4, 5.
Daniel and his companions didn’t celebrate or bow before the golden image in Babylon. They refused, and God honored them by protecting the three Hebrew boys. Here are two instances in the Bible where God’s people were being seduced to bow to images of gold. And today we have leaders in Adventism who willingly bow to the golden gods of Babylon, and without any fiery furnace! They do it for free.
This idolatrous ecumenical service took place in the Maria Regina Martyrum (Mary Reigning Queen) Catholic Church, and no ecumenical service would be complete without the idol of Mary. Well, a statue of Mary was also present. According to Catholic Theology, the Reigning Queen of Heaven is alive and also takes part in these events, especially in a shrine dedicated to her glory.

We have men today who can’t tell the difference between the sacred and the profane. They are dancing around the new golden calf, following and trusting in their own fantasies. They are offering prayers, readings, and songs to the gods of wood, stone, and metal.
“O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem (Adventism) on heaps.” Psalm 79:1.
“Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.” Jeremiah 12:10.
The Roman Catholic Archbishop Dr. Heiner Koch, also made a call for more Christian unity:
Minute 24:42 – “The kind, warmhearted, and loving God and Father, as your children, and in different traditions, we pray to you. You gave us [the opportunity] to live and work together so that your kingdom can come to our earth and we could become the instrument of your peace. As we work together for the good of all, your love for all people, take away from us the spirit of division and give us unity in your love, take the darkness of hate and the spirit of hostility away from us. Create understanding and mutual respect regardless of the difference between us people, races and religious. Let your divine light be visible in our lives as well as in the lives of all we meet.” [5]
It appears that the end of the Protestant Reformation was also celebrated at this meeting. In Germany, the senior leaders of Protestantism and Roman Catholicism have proclaimed that they have joined forces to fight the “spirit of division” and seek “unity” despite their disagreements. We are in a terrible situation, brothers and sisters, since many people have lost their Protestant heritage as a result of ecumenism. We were told that in the last days, Satan’s one-world church movement will be at work, attempting to unify the entire world.
“Satan determines to unite them in one body, and thus strengthen his cause by sweeping all into the ranks of Spiritualism … Papists, Protestants, and worldlings will alike accept the form of godliness without the power, and they will see in this union a grand movement for the conversion of the world” (Great Controversy, pp. 588, 589).
These interfaith religious worship activities are defended by our church leaders at the highest levels. It’s referred to as being nice, establishing relationships, and making friends. But, as you can see, we are the ones being led into paganism and idolatry, rather than exposing others to the beauty of the historic Seventh-day Adventist faith and pointing them to the holiness of a majestic God.
No matter how much is written in defense of these ecumenical commitments, no matter how hard people try to deny that these events are offensive to God, no matter how heroic the church tries to portray leaders who engage in these activities, and no matter how much they try to minimize the gravity of engaging in idolatrous rites and pagan worship, the evidence is so obvious. With its joint worship services, the modern interfaith movement is glorifying paganism, spiritualism, and religious amalgamation.
The only answer to paganism and spiritualism is found in the great three-fold messages of Revelation 14:6-12. This end-time proclamation is a call to the whole world to “Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him (not golden idols) that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” (Revelation 14:7). Baal worship is alive today. Idolatry is being revived on a global scale in our generation thanks to the ecumenical movement, and God is looking to His commandment-keeping people (Revelation 12:17; 14:12) to arouse the nations and the inhabitants of the earth to look to the one true God and His down-trodden law (Revelation 14:7). God’s prophetic word describes the tragic end for those who continue in pagan idolatry:
“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.” Revelation 9:20, 21.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8.
“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.” Revelation 22:14, 15.
“Let not those who have the truth as it is in Jesus give sanction, even by their silence, to the work of the mystery of iniquity. Let them never cease to sound the note of alarm. Let the education and training of the members of our churches be such that the children and youth among us shall understand there are to be no concessions to this power, the man of sin. Teach them that although the time will come when we can wage the war only at the risk of property and liberty, yet the conflict must be met, in the spirit and meekness of Christ; the truth is to be maintained and advocated as it is in Jesus. Wealth, honor, comfort, home—everything else—is to be a secondary consideration. The truth must not be hid, it must not be denied or disguised, but fully avowed, and boldly proclaimed (Selected Messages, Vol. 2, pp. 269, 270).

Behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD. And notice what the Book of Ezekiel had to say in verses, 8:15-18, 9:1-11. The type has met the antitype: For it parallels the apostasy and abominations within SDA today. We were forewarned. The applications of antiquity were for admonition today. You’d have to be blind not to recognize a jesuit in action: With no shame, I might add in his game.

Alot of pastors became adventist before they were converted.A converted pastor cannot attend those meetings and bow down and sing before a satue while it is clearly said in exodus 20.The problem is our theological seminaries plus universities and colleges have been infiltrated by enemies of souls.But my question in my mind is how come can Ted Wilson who knows the basic and intensity of great controversy allows his ministers to be in that place? Ellen White gave the Remnant Church warning to study Ezekiel chapters 8 and 9 that in the end times these abominations toward God would be repeated. As long as the “good and faithful” tithe paying members turn a blind eye to this apostacy, saying, “It’s not for us to interfere, God will work it out;”these unfaithful conference leaders will continue to support Rome with the Lord’s money. There are plenty of independant SDA Ministries that could greatly benefit the Lord’s work in saving souls from these misused tithes which is going to unfaithful Hirelings just to line their pockets all the while leading many souls to Hell.
That’s why our Jehovah’s Witnesses friends will not even rise to stand during the Flag Ceremony because of their religious belief that even standing before the flag during the school or political ceremonies is an act of worshipping an image of the flag. Is bowing before the kings, magistrates, leaders, or even old people an act of worshipping them? What is the difference between “Bow of Respect” & “Bow of Worship”? I think the only one who can tell us the real intention of his heart is that man himself whom you described as worshipping the golden image. Are you sure of your conclusion that he is on the act of worshipping to that said golden image? To support your conclusions you quoted biblical texts about the golden calf apostasy of lsrael & the image worship in Babylon. I will try to connect that pastor now if he is really an Adventist pastor & if he really intended to worship the said image when he attended the ecumenical meeting. Are you also sure my beloved brethren that the GC president, Pastor Wilson officially ordered and approved his attendance and worship of the image there? My beloved brethren, to publish immediately on the Facebook page or any mass media outlet the things that you have just read or encounter from any report or publication, is extremely dangerous.
May I counsel every Adventist to exercise caution & careful investigation before giving personal conclusions. Or you might only destroy & not to edify the church that God entrusted to preach the final gospel of salvation in these last days. My beloved brethren, if you notice that things seems, are not on the right direction as you feel it is, Pray that God will correct the wrong. Please pray for yourself also that that you might be guided accordingly on how to arrive to a correct direction. Let’s pray for each other because we need inspiration as we face the final stage of our journey to that heavenly Canaan. Instead of attacking the leaders or fellow Adventist people in mass media, please pray for them to fortify their faith in Jesus as they are entrusted with sensitive responsibilities to manage the work of God in this final hours of human history.

There is some merit to what you are saying. I guess we won’t know except the man that is doing the act, bowing in this case. Trouble is we are seeking more and more of it and you know it. But let’s not despair, it is prophesied so therefore it WILL happen.
The reasoning that we are being “nice” and engaging the people has some validity, but to what extent. Breaking a commandment, or doesn’t that matter if the cause is right. Brothers and sisters, to what extent did Jesus go to reach the gentiles, that far? I doubt it, you know He didn’t. As far as commenting that reporting the “first thing that looks negative” is not right we all know that this isn’t an isolated case.
I look forward to the day that a catholic bishop would come to an SDA church and worship on a Sabbath, all in the name of friendship of course. I doubt that will ever happen. Or don’t they have a duty to evangelise to us. Or maybe they think there is no need

I personally, I wanted to share this post to my friends, but something came to my mind: I wondered, and said to my self “what if the man on the picture is not a SDA pastor, and this post was made only to bring confusion into our minds, and make some people doubt on their faith?”
We should be careful, everything that shines is not Gold.
A bow of respect is due to the position or age of a person. What respect does a piece of gold require? If there is no required respect for the gold then they are showing respect for the image inscribed in the gold itself. That is idolatry. By your reasoning, the three Hebrew boys could have bowed to the golden statue as long as in their hearts they weren’t worshipping the image. There is no such differentiation made in the Bible. Even the appearance of an evil act is forbidden. I agree that we should not be publicly attacking the church leadership; however, by their actions, they themselves are destroying the church. It is written that all these things should take place in the last days. We should be on our faces day and night praying for ourselves to be found worthy to stand in the presence of the Lamb, and praying for all the brethren to remain firm to the truth until the end, no veering neither to the left or to the right. Nor compromising with the forces of darkness for the time is short.
We all have our opinion, however when we are convicted by the holy spirit one does not have to thread lightly or show fear . It is either we are operating out of fear or the holy spirit , it is either we are for God or against God. Chapter 25—The Foundation of Our Faith
[This article appeared in Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 2, pages 51-59, published in 1904.]
The Lord will put new, vital force into His work as human agencies obey the command to go forth and proclaim the truth. He who declared that His truth would shine forever will proclaim this truth through faithful messengers, who will give the trumpet a certain sound. The truth will be criticized, scorned, and derided; but the closer it is examined and tested, the brighter it will shine.
As a people, we are to stand firm on the platform of eternal truth that has withstood test and trial. We are to hold to the sure pillars of our faith. The principles of truth that God has revealed to us are our only true foundation. They have made us what we are. The lapse of time has not lessened their value. It is the constant effort of the enemy to remove these truths from their setting, and to put in their place spurious theories. He will bring in everything that he possibly can to carry out his deceptive designs. But the Lord will raise up men of keen perception, who will give these truths their proper place in the plan of God.
I have been instructed by the heavenly messenger that some of the reasoning in the book Living Temple is unsound, and that this reasoning would lead astray the minds of those who are not thoroughly established on the foundation principles of present truth. It introduces that which is nought but speculation in regard to the personality of God and where His presence is. No one on this earth has a right to speculate on this question. The more fanciful theories are discussed, the less men will know of God and of the truth that sanctifies the soul.
One and another come to me, asking me to explain the positions taken in Living Temple. I reply, “They are unexplainable.” The sentiments expressed do not give a true knowledge of God. All through the book are passages of Scripture. These scriptures are brought in in such a way that error is made to appear as truth. Erroneous theories are presented in so pleasing a way that unless care is taken, many will be misled.
We need not the mysticism that is in this book. Those who entertain these sophistries will soon find themselves in a position where the enemy can talk with them, and lead them away from God. It is represented to me that the writer of this book is on a false track. He has lost sight of the distinguishing truths for this time. He knows not whither his steps are tending. The track of truth lies close beside the track of error, and both tracks may seem to be one to minds which are not worked by the Holy Spirit, and which, therefore, are not quick to discern the difference between truth and error.
A View of Approaching Danger
About the time that Living Temple was published, there passed before me in the night season, representations indicating that some danger was approaching, and that I must prepare for it by writing out the things God had revealed to me regarding the foundation principles of our faith. A copy of Living Temple was sent me, but it remained in my library, unread. From the light given me by the Lord, I knew that some of the sentiments advocated in the book did not bear the endorsement of God, and that they were a snare that the enemy had prepared for the last days. I thought that this would surely be discerned, and that it would not be necessary for me to say anything about it.
In the controversy that arose among our brethren regarding the teachings of this book, those in favor of giving it a wide circulation declared: “It contains the very sentiments that Sister White has been teaching.” This assertion struck right to my heart. I felt heartbroken; for I knew that this representation of the matter was not true.
Finally my son said to me, “Mother, you ought to read at least some parts of the book, that you may see whether they are in harmony with the light that God has given you.” He sat down beside me, and together we read the preface, and most of the first chapter, and also paragraphs in other chapters. As we read, I recognized the very sentiments against which I had been bidden to speak in warning during the early days of my public labors. When I first left the State of Maine, it was to go through Vermont and Massachusetts, to bear a testimony against these sentiments. Living Temple contains the alpha of these theories. I knew that the omega would follow in a little while; and I trembled for our people. I knew that I must warn our brethren and sisters not to enter into controversy over the presence and personality of God. The statements made in Living Temple in regard to this point are incorrect. The scripture used to substantiate the doctrine there set forth, is scripture misapplied.
I am compelled to speak in denial of the claim that the teachings of Living Temple can be sustained by statements from my writings. There may be in this book expressions and sentiments that are in harmony with my writings. And there may be in my writings many statements which, taken from their connection, and interpreted according to the mind of the writer of Living Temple, would seem to be in harmony with the teachings of this book. This may give apparent support to the assertion that the sentiments in Living Temple are in harmony with my writings. But God forbid that this sentiment should prevail.
Few can discern the result of entertaining the sophistries advocated by some at this time. But the Lord has lifted the curtain, and has shown me the result that would follow. The spiritualistic theories regarding the personality of God, followed to their logical conclusion, sweep away the whole Christian economy. They estimate as nothing the light that Christ came from heaven to give John to give to His people. They teach that the scenes just before us are not of sufficient importance to be given special attention. They make of no effect the truth of heavenly origin, and rob the people of God of their past experience, giving them instead a false science.
In a vision of the night I was shown distinctly that these sentiments have been looked upon by some as the grand truths that are to be brought in and made prominent at the present time. I was shown a platform, braced by solid timbers—the truths of the Word of God. Someone high in responsibility in the medical work was directing this man and that man to loosen the timbers supporting this platform. Then I heard a voice saying, “Where are the watchmen that ought to be standing on the walls of Zion? Are they asleep? This foundation was built by the Master Worker, and will stand storm and tempest. Will they permit this man to present doctrines that deny the past experience of the people of God? The time has come to take decided action.”
The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.
Who has authority to begin such a movement? We have our Bibles. We have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth?

The leader won’t take the whole adventist believers to heaven.Their decision is thier determination.
There is a sad misunderstanding of several things here:
– “Unity in Christ” is the call, not a loss of distinctive faith, not organizational blending;
– those present are bowing to Christ, not to an idol;
– the language of the actual reports of the meeting are replaced in this story by scandalizing, exaggerated language that reveals the mind of the author rather than of the participants.
All this distortion is obvious to those who rely on facts rather than fantasy and fear. Christ has not given us a spirit of fear but of boldness.
Adventist Pastors are either heading a particular District, church, institution or SDA Administration..

I feel shame when I heard or see our leader doing this while they know the truth we read and follow the commandments of GOD in heaven specially the number 1to 3…. But am understand because our church we have the leaders that they come like Engels but is evils (Jesuits) and is a plan of Satan to destroy the Truth, destroy the son’s of GOD in heaven like that men I hope is a one of them…. Its interesting how we try to be persons’ conscience by dictating what to publish and what not to publish. God impressed brother Andy to publish the article as this was done publicly and should be publicly rebuked as Paul puts. Its interesting the individual mentioned here is the same person who reported Walter Veith to German authorities, and Walter Veith was subjected to a year long investigation. Even after he was cleared of wrong doing he still remains banned in Germany.
