All religions, creeds, faiths, and doctrines, regardless of what erroneous theories they espouse, are being taken under the wing of the Antichrist. Mystery Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots, will embrace everyone as a fellow brother or sister into its universal fraternity that seeks to unite the religious world into one body. Pope Francis claims that having a diversity and plurality of religions is part of God’s will.
During a July 3, 2023, interview with Al-Ittihad, an Arabic-language newspaper published in the United Arab Emirates, Pope Francis affirmed that the existence of all the different faiths in our world is part of the will of God. During the interview, Pope Francis was asked about the Abrahamic House, human fraternity, and the coexistence of religions, to which he responded in part:
• “Regarding the Abrahamic House, I consider it a place of respect for the diversity that God willed.” [1]
• “The Abrahamic House – consisting of three places of worship: a church dedicated to St. Francis, a mosque and a synagogue – was born to fulfill the principle of human fraternity.” [1]
• “It is a place of worship where every believer raises his hands to heaven, and practices coexistence in diversity and mutual respect between believers. It is a message testifying that faith in God should only nurture feelings of goodness, dialogue, respect and peace and never feelings of violence, confrontation.” [1]
• “The Abrahamic House is a place for respecting diversity, which God willed, and not turning difference into contempt or a cause for conflict.” [1]
• “I am sure that this place will become a model and a center for religious dialogue and coexistence between religions.” [1]
• “Only those who are not sure of their faith live in fear of meeting the other and rush into confrontation. The true believer lives his faith without feeling threatened by others and without the need to threaten others.” [1]
These are concerning statements that suggest that God actively willed into existence the diversity of religions. These statements contradict the very theme of the entire Bible, both the Old and New Testaments. The numerous diverse religions found in our world each have their own unique teachings that contradict what other faith groups believe. How can having all these conflicting beliefs be by God’s design? Is it really God’s will for some people to live in error? And does the concept of having one true church, which defeats the idea of diversity, also go against the will of God?
Pope Francis and the ecumenical movement are advancing this message. This is why we must strongly reject taking part in any of these interfaith gatherings that promote the idea that God favors idolatry, superstition, heresy, and deception. According to Pope Francis, the diversity of religions was God’s will, which means that our Heavenly Father commanded that false beliefs exist and be embraced.
Why did God call Abraham out of idol-worshipping Babylon if idol worship was God’s will for mankind? Why did God give a 10 Commandment moral law that forbids the worship of other gods if it was His will that these gods be worshiped? Why did Jesus command His disciples to teach all nations and baptize them in His name if it wasn’t even God’s will for people to believe in His Son at all? And why would God give a final warning message in these last days to every nation and people (Revelation 14) if everyone is already living out God’s will?
Do you see how dangerous Rome’s ecumenical gospel is? It turns the God of heaven into a God of relativism. He becomes a God who doesn’t have any truth and who doesn’t care what people do or believe. The only logical conclusion to the ecumenical philosophy is that every religious faith system known to man, including nature worship and the worship of demons, is actively willed by God for the good and benefit of mankind. This completely undermines the entire plan of salvation that attributes Christ’s life, death, burial, resurrection, and heavenly intercession as the most important acts in the history of the universe!
Don’t fall for that. The everlasting gospel is the only means by which we are saved (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). It is a sacred duty and calling to take this gospel in context with Revelation 14:6–12 to the entire world. This is our current message and mission.
“In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists have been set in the world as watchmen and light bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the Word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import—the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention” (Last Day Events, p. 45).

Pope Francis has demonstrated that Rome truly has changed both the commandments of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“The accession of the Roman Church to power marked the beginning of the Dark Ages. As her power increased, the darkness deepened. Faith was transferred from Christ, the true foundation, to the pope of Rome. Instead of trusting in the Son of God for forgiveness of sins and for eternal salvation, the people looked to the pope, and to the priests and prelates to whom he delegated authority. They were taught that the pope was their earthly mediator and that none could approach God except through him; and, further, that he stood in the place of God to them and was therefore to be implicitly obeyed . . . Thus the minds of the people were turned away from God to fallible, erring, and cruel men, nay, more, to the prince of darkness himself.” {GC 55.1}
