The Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America has just recently finished a 10-day season of prayer and revival. This spiritual feast took place from January 9-19, 2019 in churches all across North America. [1] Thousands of people have been praying for unity, for the Holy Spirit and for spiritual revival.
While the 10-days of prayer were being conducted Southwestern Adventist University decided to throw a 1950’s Swing Dance party on January 12, 2019, during the middle of the prayer event. See the video above.
How wonderful. This is exactly what we need in a time of spiritual crisis – a rock-n-roll event. When God says to weep and mourn because of the conditions taking place both in the world and in the church, it’s not time to swing and dance.
“And in that day did the Lord GOD of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth: And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to morrow we shall die. And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.” Isaiah 22:12-14.
