On April 22, the whole world was celebrating “Earth Day.” But “Earth Day” is not the official name for the April 22 celebration. The United Nations has shed some light on the April 22 event by revealing that the official annual celebration is called: “International Mother Earth Day April 22.” Note the following published by the United Nations:
“The General Assembly designated 22 April as International Mother Earth Day … The United Nations celebrates this observance through the Harmony with Nature initiative, a platform for global sustainable development that celebrates annually an interactive dialogue on International Mother Earth Day. Topics include methods for promoting a holistic approach to harmony with nature, and an exchange of national experiences regarding criteria and indicators to measure sustainable development in harmony with nature. So “Earth Day” is just an abbreviation for the “International Mother Earth Day” that is celebrated every year on April 22. This celebration has now become the new religion for the New World Order as radical environmentalists are embracing and promoting pantheism, the New Age and spiritualism on this day. The name “Mother Earth” says it all.

Pseudoscience, esoteric religions and green spirituality are making Christians and even our own people embrace the pagan cult of Gaia, the religion of Mother Earth. This is destroying biblical Christianity and true faith is being replaced by the worship of nature. We must resist and reject these dangerous pagan philosophies. We must denounce these pantheistic efforts and confront them. We must encourage God’s people to have nothing to do with this movement because this is all part of the deadly heresy that first appeared in 1903 through the pantheistic teachings found in The Living Temple book:
“In the book Living Temple there is presented the alpha of deadly heresies. The omega will follow, and will be received by those who are not willing to heed the warning God has given … We need not the mysticism that is in this book. Those who entertain these sophistries will soon find themselves in a position where the enemy can talk with them, and lead them away from God.” (Selected Messages, vol. 1, pp. 200, 202)

April 22 and the celebration of Mother Earth Day is a revival of the same eastern, pantheistic philosophies that Dr. John Harvey Kellogg introduced into Adventism over 100 years ago. Fortunately our pioneers resisted this attack against the faith and spoke out against them. God had to intervene and both the Battle Creek Sanitarium and the Review and Herald offices were burnt down to the ground for promoting these pagan teachings in the Seventh-day Adventist Church (See Publishing Ministry, p. 71).

The new religious mysticism of this generation is the climate change movement. Nature is the new faith and Mother Earth is the new object of reverence. Everyone is on board: Catholics, Protestants, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, atheists, animists, pantheists and even Seventh-day Adventists. Welcome to the Omega of Apostasy.
To understand what is really happening, we must look no further than Rome and the United Nations. They are the architects who are pushing for earth worship, green Sunday laws and a one-world ecumenical religion that embraces everyone into one big happy family. Green earth activists have been fighting for laws that give the planet (Mother Earth) the same rights as humans, if not more. And is it just a coincidence that the green Sunday laws are also being agitated?

The only solution for nature worship, green Sunday laws and radical environmentalism is to proclaim the Three Angels’ Message of Revelation 14:6-12 to the entire world, in a loud voice, without fear or hesitation. This end-time proclamation makes a call to “Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” (Revelation 14:7). It is a call to honor God alone as our Creator who made heaven and earth.

Sadly, our generation is looking for new gods to worship. We are drifting away into humanism, paganism, secularism, godlessness and anarchy. God is calling us to fear Him, reflect His character, obey His commandments and embrace His memorial to creation – the seventh-day Sabbath. It is also a call to come out of Babylon, reject the mark of apostasy (the green Sunday law), forsake paganism and help others to do the same. We must call others to come out and keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12).
