Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has publicly stated that she is using her federal position to advance an explicitly Christian mission, while also revealing that the Trump administration’s America First Policies are biblical and are bringing light to a dark world.
In a September 16 interview on Trinity Broadcasting Network, Rollins discussed faith inside the administration and described biblical principles as foundational to its political program. She said the administration’s officials are “a group of warriors” who gather weekly for Cabinet Bible study to remind themselves what they are fighting for.
Rollins also described the policies she helped develop through the America First Policy Institute as grounded in the word of God, arguing that policies involving the border, education, health care, farmers, and ranchers can be understood biblically.
It is one thing for a cabinet secretary to be a Christian, pray, voluntarily participate in Bible studies, or explain how faith influences her personal decisions. However, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Rollins went further by stating that she uses the platform of her federal office to “make disciples of all nations.” We have a sitting cabinet secretary publicly declaring that she uses government authority to promote Christianity. This reveals that the current administration has adopted Evangelicalism as federal policy.
This type of union between Church and State is precisely the reason why religious freedom is important. Religion is being mixed with governmental authority. In this context, Sunday legislation becomes possible whenever the State goes beyond protecting religious freedom and begins to mandate religious observance. When Christianity and governmental power become increasingly identified with one another, the constitutional barrier against the establishment of an official religion is eliminated.

Let’s be careful not to throw out the baby with the bath water. The freedoms, liberties, and even separation of church and state established by our founding fathers were and are all built upon biblical and Christian principles. By a majority of Christian bible believing people. There are many biblical principles of government by which a nation and peoples may benefit and prosper.
We have seen those of atheistic and or secular humanist morality attempt and occasionally succeed in building government upon their own principles, even to the point of forcing such views upon all by mandates, or legal actions against those who cannot participate in such according to their religious convictions. Shall we say or support the idea that Christians cannot establish government upon righteous biblical principles while atheists or secular humanists can do so according to very differing moral standard or political ideologies? Again, if this were the case at our founding, there would be no United States of America with freedom, liberty, and justice for all.
We must focus our attention upon those seeking to mandate their religious views and or convictions upon all. Which most obviously has nothing to do with biblical principles of government of and by many different peoples. Such spiritual authority belonging among those alone who are all in agreement unto such, and freely join denominations from within which they may withdraw if their views or convictions ever change. Christian principles of government are just as important today for our country as they were at its founding. If we are going to reject the promulgation of such principles from any and all politicians, then those of other faiths or morals will end up changing this country from within accordingly. As we have already been witnessing for many years now. Not the least of which comes to us via the leadership of the Roman Catholic Church. As the Popes and Vatican have and do publish non stop political narratives they wish their adherents to establish within this and every nation, which directly contradict the founding biblical principles this nation was built upon.
