The Pope is scheduled to visit both Turkey and Lebanon to promote Christian unity, deepen dialogue with Islam, and encourage renewed peace efforts in the Middle East. In preparations for the visit, billboards located at the airport and throughout the region feature an image of Pope Leo XIV with the message written in Arabic, “The Pope of Peace.” This visit is highly anticipated, as people are looking to the Pope to bring religious coexistence, peace, and relief to the region after years of tensions.
Al Arabiya, a leading English-language news source in the Middle East, published the following on November 24, 2025:
• “Pope Leo XIV embarks on his debut overseas trip Thursday, travelling to Turkey and Lebanon to promote Christian unity and urge peace efforts amid heightened tensions in the Middle East.” [1]
• “Abdo Abou Kassem, the church’s media coordinator for the visit, said the pope also wishes to ‘reaffirm Lebanon’s role as a model for both East and West’ through an interreligious meeting in downtown Beirut. [1]
• “In Turkey, Leo will celebrate the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, where the Creed—a foundational declaration of the Christian faith—was written.” [1]
• “The 325 A.D. meeting in Nicaea predated the schisms that divided Christianity between East and West and the commemoration is an important moment to promote Christian unity. On the shores of Lake Iznik, the current name for Nicaea, the 70-year-old (pope) will join dignitaries from various Orthodox churches.” [1]
• “The visit to Turkey, a strategic crossroad between East and West, is also aimed at promoting the Church’s dialogue with Islam.” [1]

For centuries, Islam—with its 1.8 billion adherents—has been one of the greatest obstacles to the papacy’s long-standing ambition for global spiritual dominance. The relationship between Rome and the Islamic world has been shaped by deep doctrinal differences, political rivalry, and the lingering memory of the Crusades. Yet Bible prophecy reveals that even this historic barrier will one day collapse. Revelation declares that the beast power—symbolizing the papal system—will ultimately command worldwide admiration and influence:
“And all the world wondered after the beast.” Revelation 13:3
This prophecy leaves no exceptions. It predicts a global and all-encompassing influence in which every nation, culture, and religious system, even those historically opposed to Rome, will be drawn into its fold. The Islamic world, once unconquerable by force, is now being influenced by diplomacy, interfaith dialogue, climate cooperation, and appeals for peace and the common good.
The Papacy’s influence is now reaching into the Muslim world, helping bring different faiths together in ways we’ve never seen before. This is a major shift, showing how Rome is gaining growing influence among Protestants, Orthodox Christians, Jews, Muslims, and others—something that fits directly into the picture of end-time prophecy.

It’s now official that Pope Leo XIV , will make the first official visit in the middle east in the countries of Turkey and Lebanon. This will be his official visit outside the Vatican since assuming the papacy on May 7,2025, after succeeding the late Pope Francis. Now Let’s begin to examine the reasons as to why the Roman Pontiff has choosen the two nations for this visit. There are two strategic reasons for this visit. One is to forge the close ties between Rome and Christianity especially the Eastern orthodox, which took place in 1054 A.D . The Great schism between the Vatican and Orthodox church in Eastern Europe. The other reason is that the Nicene Creed was formed in the city of Constatinople why is this city significant? This is because the City is named after Emperor Constatine after the collapse of the Roman Empire ,he left the City of Rome to the Bishop of Rome. The Nicene Constatinopolitan Creed was made in 325 A.D is where the doctrinal heresies were made that are unscriptural that Jesus Christ was ”beggotten son of God” and that there are three gods in one substance which is commonly reffered to as the ”Trinity” in 381 A.D.
This year , will mark 1,700 anniversarry since the Nicene Creed was formed. This creed is recited oftenly in many christian denominations and churches. The Nicene creed has two packages, Unitarianism and Trinitarianism. These doctrines are the heresies that have swept away many people in the Christendom. Many Sunday keeping Churches including the Seventh Day Adventists have embraced these doctrines. In the book authored by the late Pope John Paul II, called the ”CROSSING OF THE THRESHOLD OF HOPE” he says; this doctrine of Christ was ”beggotten from the eternity ”was begun by his own church. It’s unfortunate even among the SDA reformers have upheld this doctrinal error believing that is a biblical doctrine.
So, the objective of papal visit to Turkey is to mark the 1,700 Anniverssary of the Nicene Creed, and the other reason is to close the gap of schism between the Christianity and Islam. It’s also noteworthy to remember that Roman Catholicism gave birth to the Islamic religion. The Roman Bishops are the ones who wrote QURAN with beliefs similar to the Catholic beliefs. They recruited Mohammed and made him to have visions in the cave and he became demon possessed. The Papacy had a very strategic goal of capturing Jerusalem City, after Emperor Constatine left the City of Rome, the Pope decided to call upon Mohammed to form a large number of Muslim armies inorder to capture Jerusalem. This was a very clever plot by the Jesuits of Rome , this is because Jerusalem was significant for God’s worship by the Jews. So, they needed this city badly? That’s why they recruited Mohammed to form a large calvary of muslim armies to capture Jerusalem for the Pope . When Mohammed succceded he captured the cities and constructed the two holy sites. So, the Papacy wants to fulfill it’s long agenda of capturing Jerusalem after waiting for 1,900 years, when the wars get very worse in the middle east , the Pope will come as their messiah to bring the long lasting peace , no wonder he has decided to visit Lebanon which is a war torn country. Mohammed was told to kill the Jews and Christians who would have opposed the Pope?
