President Donald Trump has publicly promoted Charlie Kirk’s new book, “Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life,” on his Truth Social media platform. This was far more than just a casual endorsement. When a sitting president publicly urges people to purchase a book, it goes beyond a personal recommendation and actually lends political support to the ideas contained in the book. By using his platform to promote Kirk’s book—which centers on the importance of having a weekly day of rest—Trump is effectively amplifying the Sabbath rest concept to a massive political and social audience of followers.
Because the book is centered on the necessity of keeping a weekly day of rest, Trump’s endorsement serves as an unmistakable affirmation of the principles of Sabbath-keeping. The title itself announces the theme—honoring the Sabbath—and the book repeatedly emphasizes that weekly rest and sacred time are essential for personal healing, family renewal, and national stability.
Donald Trump expressed the following on his Truth Social account:
• “One month before a monster took him away from us, the Great Charlie Kirk finished his final book, “Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life.” As Charlie often said, “If I’m to be known for anything, I want to be known for being courageous for my faith.” Charlie cared deeply about God and country, and in this powerful book, his wisdom, courage, and conviction inspire us all to turn to God for guidance against the evil in this world, which we too can overcome, SO HELP US GOD. By calling on millions of his followers to support and purchase a book devoted entirely to promoting a day of rest, Trump is elevating Sabbath observance into mainstream cultural and political conversation, giving it a platform and legitimacy that it would not have achieved through traditional marketing channels alone. In this sense, his endorsement becomes a powerful statement affirming that a sacred weekly day of rest is not merely a matter of personal belief but an idea worthy of national attention.
The significance of President Trump’s actions becomes clear when analyzed within the context of the growing Christian nationalist and Vatican-aligned agenda, which seeks to reintroduce Sunday as a day of rest and worship. Trump’s public endorsement of a book advocating for Sabbath observance helps normalize the idea that weekly rest is not only spiritually beneficial but also politically necessary. This elevates Sabbath observance from a religious practice to a matter of public health, in which America’s renewal requires a return to sacred time and weekly rest. In this way, public opinion is being conditioned to view Sabbath observance as essential to the nation’s well-being, paving the way for future debates about Sunday rest as a religiously based civic observance.
“We see the world working to the point of establishing by law a false sabbath, and making it a test for all. This question will soon be before us. God’s Sabbath will betrampled under foot, and a false sabbath will be exalted. In a Sunday law there is possibility for great suffering to those who observe the seventh day” (Selected Messages, p. 375).

Why is this being presented as something good? If he had endorsed a book on Sunday as Sabbath would it be celebrated?
Do we not believe in the separation of church and state? Or is the separation only espoused when the state is doing something we don’t like?
In his book, is Kirk advocating for a government sanctioned day or a mandatory day of rest? I don’t know.
My understanding is that Charlie Kirk viewed Sabbath as a day of rest and family time. It appears he may not have yet understood the sacredness and future prophetic significance of the 7th day Sabbath. There is silence from Kirk supporters concerning the 7th day. And many such supporters actively encourage others to attend church on Sunday.
The documentary “Behind the Door” 🚪 by the James Arrabito, showed how one of Rome’s end time tricks for Adventism was to pretend to be pro 7th day Sabbath then switch back to Sunday, according to Ex Jesuit Alberto Rivera,
Charlie Kirk’s memorial service uplifted the immortality of the soul doctrine and Sunday sacredness, which causes “a bond of sympathy with Rome”
Do we know if he talks about the 7th Day Sabbath in this book? Or is he promoting Sunday rest?
Both, as the book says he keeps Saturdays, but also sometimes Sundays… (Compromise)
Similar to how Constantine endorsed both but later on uplifted the wrong one higher then the Commandments.
Do we know what true Conviction is?
Let us not be deceived!
There are some in our ranks who have come to conclusions that this man was somehow discovering the true Sabbath – 7th Day Sabbath. My question is, where is the evidence?
We know better; evidence of true conviction is never based on what a man says or proclaim. It comes from the plain principles from the Word of God:
“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? ” Matthew 7:16 KJV
In other words, you cannot pick sunday observance fruit from a 7th Day Sabbath tree.
Christ Jesus drew the line:
“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. ”
Matthew 12:30 KJV
A truly convicted person when they discover the truth, 3 things happen:
1 They are filled with the Holy Spirit and tell everyone about the truth discovered.
2 Then they receive Spiritual discernment and recognized that they have been deceived and believing in error; then they investigate the origins of the error.
3 Then they also expose the error and deception proclaiming the truth, by distinguishing truth from error.
There are many people who have discovered the 7th Day Sabbath; and in a timely manner in the midst of this debate, a woman of a different religion have a youtube podcast; she discovered the 7th Day Sabbath and made a video about it.
She tells everyone about her discovery according to the Scriptures, then expose deceptions and error that are used by many in the Scriptures to support sunday observance, then she reveals her findings of her investigation on where sunday observance came from, ttacing it back to Constantine and pagan sun worship.
This is true conviction!
Let us not be deceived because it seems as though this man was flirting with the 7th Day Sabbath.
We have been told that every species of deception eill be used to draw away God’s elect.
We need to watch and pray, and not build theories based on plausibilities especially when God has given us ample evidence.
“Satan has ability to suggest doubts and to devise objections to the pointed testimony that God sends, and many think it a virtue, a mark of intelligence in them, to be unbelieving and to question and quibble. Those who desire to doubt will have plenty of room. God does not propose to remove all occasion for unbelief. He gives evidence, which must be carefully investigated with a humble mind and a teachable spirit, and all should decide from the weight of evidence.” 5T 675.3
“God never asks us to believe, without giving sufficient evidence upon which to base our faith. His existence, His character, the truthfulness of His word, are all established by testimony that appeals to our reason; and this testimony is abundant. Yet God has never removed the possibility of doubt. Our faith must rest upon evidence, not demonstration. Those who wish to doubt will have opportunity; while those who really desire to know the truth will find plenty of evidence on which to rest their faith.” SC 105.2
