The assassination of Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, is becoming a test case for free speech in America. In the aftermath of his death, several individuals who have mocked Kirk, criticized him, or spoken disrespectfully about his death have found themselves suspended from work, while others have been fired. More significantly, for those who view current events through the lens of prophecy, we are seeing a preview of the time when the unpopular truths of Revelation 14 will face systematic suppression.
Some of the most high-profile examples come from the media world. ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show indefinitely after he described Charlie Kirk’s assassin as a MAGA supporter. [1] Matthew Dowd, an analyst for MSNBC, was fired after he suggested that Kirk’s own words contributed to the culture of hostility and violence that led to his death. The network quickly labeled his comments “insensitive” and “unacceptable.” [2] A Washington Post columnist, Karen Attiah, was also fired after posting comments about Kirk on social media, which the newspaper characterized as “unacceptable” and “gross misconduct.” [3]
Many professors, teachers, and employees from the private sector have also been terminated across the nation for celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk on social media. In nearly every case, employers and institutions expressed the need to protect their reputation, show respect, and distance themselves from controversy. These and other cases reveal how quickly people can be cancelled or punished for challenging the narrative that society seeks to promote.
To many, such measures seem justified when employees representing a company are seen celebrating or mocking the violent death of a public figure. Yet others warn that people are not only being punished for celebrating violence but also for simply voicing political criticism of Kirk himself. What are the boundaries of acceptable speech? Is hate being disguised as free speech? Or is dissent from popular opinion being labeled as harmful? The tragedy is that this type of climate creates a crisis in which individuals hesitate to speak their convictions, not out of respect for truth, but out of fear of cancellation.
Here is where the prophetic parallels emerge. Revelation 14:6-12 describes a final message of warning to the world—the everlasting gospel, the call to worship the Creator, the announcement of Babylon’s fall, and the solemn warning against receiving the mark of the beast. These messages are not popular, for they expose false systems of worship and call people back to God’s commandments, including the seventh-day Sabbath. Just as employers today punish employees for speech deemed “offensive,” so too will the world one day unite to suppress the preaching of these end-time truths because they conflict with the religious and political consensus of the age.
The firings and suspensions that we are seeing due to Charlie Kirk’s death foreshadow the final crisis. When the union of church and state imposes Sunday observance as the “day of rest,” those who speak the unpopular truths of Revelation 14 will be silenced, marginalized, and punished. Today, it is journalists, professors, and employees losing jobs for controversial remarks about a slain activist. Tomorrow, it will be faithful believers losing everything—including their lives—for proclaiming the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12).
A time is coming when the freedom to speak truth will be taken away, and the unpopular message of Revelation 14 will be the target. Now is the time to prepare for the ultimate conflict between the law of God and the traditions of men. When civil power is used to enforce religious decrees, the stage will be set for the mark of the beast crisis.

Unfortunately this has been the issue for sometime now. The proverbial shoe is on the other foot. In the past 10 years, if you called out the lockdowns, riot groups or any subculture, you risked being canceled. And the cancel culture is now on from the otherside of the aisle. But you are right, to what end is this leading us to.
Yep!
The irony here is that the WOKE mob has been calling for censorship via both the private sector (especially in social media) and by the government — such as Obama going after so-called “climate change deniers” with his att. gen. Loretta Lynch his last half year in office to see what they could get away with. Then Biden creating that censoring department, which he was forced to cancel when that 33 year old millennial he placed in charge singing kids ditty tuned songs about censoring people.
ahhh…..the irony….
The Censoring Class (mob) got Censored.
