What we are seeing unfold through Kevin Roberts’ call for a “Christian Reconquest” and the wider Project 2025 movement is not a mere political shift — it is the prophetic stage-setting for the final union of church and state, the same union that prophecy declared would lead to the enforcement of false worship.
Ellen G. White wrote, “When our nation shall so abjure the principles of its government as to enact a Sunday law, Protestantism will in this act join hands with Popery; it will be nothing else than giving life to the tyranny which has long been eagerly watching its opportunity to spring again into active despotism.” (Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 5, p. 712).
This “Reconquista” spirit, clothed in the language of Christian revival, is in truth the re-emergence of papal ideology — a drive to rebuild a theocratic order where faith is legislated and conscience is controlled. The same power that exalted Our Lady of Victory at Lepanto now waves the banner of “Christian nationalism” and political salvation. But Christ said plainly, “My kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36).
When earthly movements claim to save the nation by merging religion with power, the people are deceived into thinking they serve God, while in reality they serve the beast. Revelation 13 warns that another beast — speaking like a dragon — will enforce worship contrary to God’s commandments. What begins as “Christian patriotism” will end in persecution of those who “keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” (Revelation 14:12).
True revival does not come through crusades, politics, or papal policy — it comes through the preaching of the everlasting gospel and obedience to the law of God, including the only day He ever sanctified — the Seventh-day Sabbath (Genesis 2:2-3; Exodus 20:8-11). Sunday, no matter how widely embraced, bears no divine authority.
As Project 2025 and other movements claim to “restore” the Christian nation, they are in fact paving the way for Rome’s moral supremacy and the final enforcement of counterfeit worship. The blueprint is clear, and the line is being drawn between those who follow the traditions of men and those who stand upon a “Thus saith the Lord.”
Now more than ever, the world needs to hear the voice of the Third Angel — warning, pleading, and calling all to worship the Creator rather than the beast and his image.
