Just when it seemed that any effort to amend—or even discuss—the controversial 2015 statement on vaccinations was over, and after assurances that this matter was effectively closed, a new development has emerged. On July 7, 2025, Vice President Artur Stele announced that the new executive officers of the General Conference—the president, secretary, and treasurer—will authorize a process to reexamine several church documents, including the controversial 2015 statement. [1]
This marks a significant shift, revealing that what was once considered off the table will soon be back under review. No timeline or specific details were provided, so I reached out to Pastor Samuel Neves from the General Conference Communication Department to shed some light on the situation and help us understand what led to this change in direction.
In the video, you can see his full response. He confirmed that these church documents will indeed be reexamined, citing ongoing concerns from members and a desire to “listen.” He described this new development as a “healthy process.”
I asked him what the process would look like—whether it would take place at the next General Conference Session or between sessions through ADCOM, and he responded that we are all going to be finding out soon together.
The 62nd General Conference Session hasn’t even concluded, so it’s far too early to tell what will happen next or whether this will result in an entirely new document. What is significant, however, is that the voices of delegates who spoke up, members who have been praying, those who have been persistently pleading, and a change in attitude by leadership, who say they now want to listen, have all together contributed to bringing about this development.
Let us keep praying, working, and encouraging a process that is fair and just—one that leaves no one behind and seeks to learn from the past so that the pain and loss experienced during the last pandemic are not repeated.

That’s a good first step in the right direction.
Thank you for that. May the Lord lead the GC in the steps that are to follow and may the GC leaders be humble enough to listen to what the Holy Spirit is telling them.
Its only because “pressure causes changes”.
We need to apply more and more pressure if we want a real reformation.
Amen
My brethren, I really think that we are not following the evidence closely.
santan usurped the position of Adam, as the representatives of earth/mankind. He stole this position from Adam through temptation and deception. He would never relinquish this position so Cbrist came and defeated him on the Cross. Now Christ in His meekness died faithfully without sin for our sins, therefore uprooting satan’s stolen position; Christ became mankind’s representative.
The point is, we cannot expect to work out the issues with those who had and have the opportunity to confess, repent of sin, or at least make it known and clear that they are for Christ and against satan; this usurpation of authority by the excom; this is the main issue! They themselves are not renewed by the Holy Spirit – they are not sanctified by the truth. So why do we expect them to be honest and contrite, when they haven’t even admitted their wrong course of action, and while they sit exactly where they want to be; us coming to them seeking change. Are we supporting their false claims of authority without realizing it?!
If we know that the GC in Session is the highest authority in our church, should we accept, support, or conduct ourselves as if the excom are the higher authority? If we desire change and are fighting for it, should we then turn to the enemy?
I understand that we have to fight, but how we fight is given to us by the Word of God and the Testimoniesof Jesus. We are to fight by taking the 3rd Angel’s Message to the world, arouse the sleeping members, and reprove sins in our church.
What shall we do then?
“6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. ”
Matthew 10:6-7, 14-15 KJV
“God wants us all to have common sense, and He wants us to reason from common sense. Circumstances alter conditions. Circumstances change the relation of things.” 19LtMs, Ms 7, 1904, par. 31
“6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. ” Ephesians 5:6-13 KJV
Interesting, good thoughts!
Shocker. But is it all a smoke-screen to get the “grumblers” off their backs. How far will this “revisit” go? I doubt they’ll admit they were wrong and/or want the membership to see just how far they strayed from the Bible & SoP health message; so this might get tucked away for a time. It’s evident that they supported Babylon’s sorceries & the mandates during the Covid scamdemic. I withdrew my membership, so they no longer speak for me – THANK GOD.
They are not the “church”; they are the “organization”, a corporate entity whose power has gone to their heads. Köhler worked alongside Wilson & Burcea was associate director under Diop; it’s not like they brought any reformers in. According to Ellen White, it’ll only get worse with the conferences. I’m at the point where I see their actions as a sure sign of the speedy end of things.
Happy to hear this positive news.
🎙️ Summary of Andy Roman’s Exchange with the GC (July 2025)
👤 Who’s Involved:
• Andy Roman: Advent Messenger reporter and watchman
• Pastor Neves: GC Communication Officer
• Arthur Steele: GC Vice President
• 23 million SDA members: Represented at the 2025 General Conference Session
⸻
🧠 Key Moments & Meaning
1️⃣ Andy’s Question: Clear, Direct, and Necessary
“Two days ago, you said the delegates declined to revisit the 2015 immunization statement. But yesterday, VP Arthur Steele said the GC will begin a re-examination process. What happened? What does that process look like?”
🔍 Andy exposes a contradiction:
• GC delegates voted not to address the issue publicly.
• But then GC leadership says they’ll quietly revisit it internally.
⚖️ Spiritual Commentary:
This suggests damage control rather than repentance. They didn’t want open debate but now want backdoor review — away from public scrutiny.
📖 “God has not placed upon any man the burden of making decisions for the church.” — Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 8, p. 236
⸻
2️⃣ Pastor Neves’ Response:
“Moving a body of 23 million people through democratic process is hard… but in a healthy church, we listen to each other.”
🔍 He praises the democratic structure, but also subtly warns against lay members thinking they can ‘move the church’ via social pressure or videos.
⚖️ Spiritual Analysis:
This sounds like a rebuke toward grassroots protest — yet it’s the very voice of reformers and watchmen like Andy that God raises up to shake Laodicea.
📚 “There is as great a need of reform in the Protestant world as ever there was in the Roman Church.” — The Great Controversy, p. 384
⸻
3️⃣ Internal GC Dialogue? “I’m not privy…”
“I’m not privy to the officer conversations… but I presume they saw concerns and said, ‘Let’s talk about it.’”
🔍 Translation: Zero transparency. Not even the GC’s official spokesman knew what was decided behind closed doors.
⚖️ Spiritual Implication:
How can members be asked to trust their leaders when leadership decisions are veiled?
📖 “The high-handed power that has been developed… is a repetition of the course of Rome.” — Testimonies to Ministers, p. 361
⸻
4️⃣ GC’s Posture: “Don’t Gloat. Just Pray.”
“Gloating isn’t of the Holy Spirit. Pray. Don’t think your video or protest moved the church.”
🔍 This is a spiritual guilt trip toward activists and watchmen like Andy.
⚖️ Spiritual Insight:
Yes, prayer is vital — but rebuke, public testimony, and protest are all biblical. Remember Elijah. Remember John the Baptist.
📖 “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet…” — Isaiah 58:1
📚 “We are not to cringe and yield our liberty in matters of conscience and duty.” — Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 713
⸻
5️⃣ Final Thought: “We’ll Find Out Together…”
“Is this being revisited before the next session or at it?” – Andy
Neves: “I’m sure we’ll find out together.”
🔍 Still no clear answer. Just a shrug and “we’ll see.”
⚖️ Prophetic Application:
This is precisely the lukewarm, evasive leadership style Laodicea embodies — ambiguity over accountability.
📖 “Because thou art lukewarm… I will spew thee out…” — Revelation 3:16
📚 “The message to the Laodiceans is applicable to Seventh-day Adventists who have had great light, and have not walked in the light.” — Selected Messages, Vol. 1, p. 357
⸻
🔥 Final Reflection:
This moment reveals:
• A church under pressure but not yet under repentance.
• Leaders acknowledging concerns, but stalling action.
• A prophetic parallel to Nicodemus coming by night — afraid to go public.
“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” — Proverbs 28:13
