Responding to questions from journalists ahead of his first apostolic journey to the Middle East, Pope Leo XIV urged the world on November 26, 2025, to “come together, sit together, and work together” to achieve “greater unity and respect for all religions.” His appeal once again reveals his global campaign to gather everyone into one universal family under Rome’s moral leadership. Rooted in Catholic documents such as Fratelli Tutti, this vision calls people to look beyond doctrinal differences, heal historic divisions, and embrace a common spiritual identity.
As Christians, we are indeed called to love every soul whom God has created, but love does not require us to affirm or “respect” teachings that lead people away from the truth of Christ. Scripture never instructs us to honor error, to mix truth with falsehood, or to join movements that elevate human traditions above the Word of God. While God does command us to value people and show compassion, kindness, and genuine concern, true love compels us to share the everlasting gospel—not to leave people in deception or in beliefs that contradict His Word.
We respect individuals because Christ died for them. But we cannot—and must not—give sanction to false teachings or man-made systems of worship that reject the saving truth of Jesus. True love speaks truth with grace, pointing every soul to the only path of salvation. From a prophetic end-time perspective rooted in Scripture, this movement paves the way for the final prophetic scenario in Revelation 13—a world religious system, unified through shared values and guided by the papacy, will ultimately prepare the nations to accept the mark of the beast.
In this last great conflict, God’s people cannot remain neutral. We cannot join the ecumenical movement or blend into a universal religious fraternity. Instead, we must stand apart—a distinct, peculiar people who uphold the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12).
“Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” James 5:19-20.
Amen!
