Major prophetic events are taking place as Pope Leo XIV, the first American Pope in history, has met with an ecumenical delegation from the United States. This meeting was far more than just a ceremonial or diplomatic gesture—it was a step toward the fulfillment of end-time prophecy. The image of an American Pope sitting down with American religious leaders in the heart of the Vatican is significant. It marks the strengthening of an alliance between the two prophetic powers identified in Revelation 13—the first and second beasts—working hand in hand to forge a close relationship with the goal of advancing full religious unity.
On July 17, 2025, Crux magazine—a prominent Catholic news outlet—published a report highlighting the Pope’s unwavering determination to achieve full unity with other Christian denominations.
• “Pope Leo XIV pledged to work to “pursue the path of unity and fraternal charity” in a meeting in Castel Gandolfo with Orthodox and Catholic clergy from the United States.” [1]
• “Leo XIV told the pilgrims their visit is one of the “abundant fruits of the ecumenical movement aimed at restoring full unity among all of Christ’s disciples’.” [1]
• “May our return to the roots of our faith make all of us experience the gift of God’s consolation and make us capable, like the Good Samaritan, of pouring out the oil of consolation and the wine of gladness on today’s humanity,” the pope said.” [1]
What makes this development especially significant is that the dialogue has now evolved beyond casual interfaith cooperation. These churches are no longer content with joint acts of charity or occasional partnerships on social issues. This latest meeting was a direct appeal for full ecclesiastical unity under the spiritual leadership of the papacy. What was once interfaith dialogue has now become a religious alignment with Rome reasserting its historic role as the spiritual center of global Christianity.
“And all the world wondered after the beast.” Revelation 13:3.
“These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” Revelation 17:13.
“For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.” Revelation 18:3.
“For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” Revelation 16:14.
These verses reveal a striking picture of global unity and admiration directed toward the beast power—a unity rooted not in truth, but in deception. Political, religious, and economic systems are aligning with a common purpose: to surrender their authority to Rome. Prophecy foretold this very moment—a coordinated movement of global cooperation under a single power. Make no mistake: the beast is fulfilling its mission—rebuilding its influence, healing its historic wounds, and leading the world to wonder and follow after it, just as Revelation warned.
The only question is, are we, as Seventh-day Adventists, fulfilling our mission? We have not been called to participate but to proclaim. God has entrusted us with a distinctive end-time message—the Three Angels’ Messages—which expose the deceptions of Babylon and call all people to worship God in the beauty of truth, as revealed in Revelation 14:6–12.
We are witnessing the world uniting under one religious, political, and economic system—just as Revelation predicted. A storm is gathering. The final movements will be rapid ones. Now is the time to be awake, consecrated, and fully engaged in the work of preparing a people to stand. There is no neutral ground. Let us be found faithful while there is still time.
“The Word of God plainly declares that His law is to be scorned, trampled upon, by the world; there will be an extraordinary prevalence of iniquity. The professed Protestant world will form a confederacy with the man of sin, and the church and the world will be in corrupt harmony” (Bible Commentary, Vol. 7, p. 975).

The Jesuits were instrumental by forming the World Council of Churches in Amsterdam , Netherlands in 1948. That was the beggining of Ecumenical unity among the churches. The word is derived from ”Greek” word ”Oikuemene” The aim of ecumenical movement is to trample down the truth and embrace the Romish traditions instead of the plain word of God. The aim of this world wide unity of Churches is to bring all the DENOMINATIONS under the banner of Rome.
The Jesuit order also held the Vatican II Council , between 1962-65, under the Pontificate of Pope , John XXIII, who later died in 1963,and was continued by his successor ,Pope Paul VI, until 1965. The intention was to take and control fully the Protestant Churches. The W.C.C. then incorporated the trinity doctrine as pre requisite for all members. We should take note that S.D.A church had joined the Christian World Communion in I957. The C.W.C is a branch to W.C.C.
Bert Berverly Beach was elected as the S.D.A ecumenical Liason with other denominations in 1965. He was instrumental when he presented Pope Paul VI, with a book and golden medallion confirming the friendship with the S.D.A church and the Vatican. The medallion was an engraved witness to the validity of the Ten Commandments. The other Commandments were simply represented with Roman numerals , the words of the fourth- Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy were written out. Bert Berverly Beach belonged to the St. Fransiscan Friars Order. Finally, the golden medallion was later to become the official logo of the S.D.A church. The 300 delegates met at San Jose , Costa Rica in october 1996 and voted for the ecumenical logo which replaced the original Three Angels messages logo.

We’ve moved well beyond a “handshake” to a full blown embrace in this relationship.
God grant us strength and an overwhelming abundance of His Holy Spirit for the days ahead.
This statement comes vividly to mind. “Protestantism shall give the hand of fellowship to the Roman power. THEN there will be a law against the Sabbath of God’s creation, and then it is that God will do His ‘strange work’ in the earth.” LDE 130.
