Below is our interview with Pastor James Desvallons from Advent Media Connect as we discuss the upcoming Hearts on Fire Virtual Camp Meeting, taking place November 16–22, 2025. Pastor Desvallons shares the vision behind this powerful online gathering designed to inspire faith, unite believers worldwide, and prepare hearts for revival and reformation.
Advent Messenger: Pastor James Desvallons, what is Hearts on Fire—A Virtual Camp Meeting, and what inspired this event? How did this idea come about?
Pastor James: The idea for the virtual camp meeting first emerged during the inaugural LCI Convocation. Justin Tobias and I were discussing how many of our followers weren’t able to attend in person. We thought to ourselves, why don’t we bring the meetings to them? That conversation sparked the vision—to make it possible for people to experience the power of God’s Word right from their phones in their living rooms.
Advent Messenger: How does a virtual camp meeting differ from traditional in-person gatherings?
Pastor James: There’s truly nothing that can replace a traditional, in-person gathering. However, the virtual camp meeting serves as a meaningful extension—a miniature model of that experience. One major distinction is the ability for participants to interact with believers from all over the world. The goal is to build a global community of faith, helping people grow in their relationship with Christ and with one another.
Advent Messenger: What do you hope participants will experience when they join Hearts on Fire this year?
Pastor James: Luke 24:32 describes two men on the road to Emmaus whose hearts “burned within them” after a Bible study with Jesus. That’s the kind of revival we’re praying for. There is a deep need for revival and reformation in the church today, and we hope that as the gospel of Jesus Christ is presented clearly, hearts open to receive it will be set ablaze with renewed faith and love for Him.
Advent Messenger: Who are the featured speakers for this meeting, and what themes or topics will they be addressing?
Pastor James: We’re blessed to have a powerful lineup of speakers, including Dr. Conrad Vine, Pastor Ron Kelly, Samuel Tucker, Scott Ritsema, and Dr. Isaac O. Additionally, our workshops will feature voices like Brother Tila, Dr. Joyce Choe, Mark Breny, and several others. The sermons will be gospel-centered with prophetic insights, while the workshops will focus on strengthening personal faith and equipping participants to take their ministries to the next level.
Advent Messenger: For those who would like to participate, attend, or share the event with others, where can they find more information or register?
Pastor James: The meetings will be livestreamed from November 16–22, 2025, and anyone wishing to participate can register at our website: https://adventmediaconnect.org/virtual-camp-meeting/. Those who register will receive exclusive access to the live Zoom sessions and some special bonus materials—including free gifts and resources designed to help deepen their spiritual experience.
Advent Messenger: Why do you believe this kind of spiritual event is so important at this time in earth’s history?
Pastor James: I believe events like this are crucial. Whether in person or online, we must use every means available to proclaim the message of salvation and prepare a people to meet the Lord. Technology gives us a powerful tool to reach those who might never step into a church building, and through it, we can help awaken hearts to the nearness of Christ’s return.
