Pope Francis received representatives from different pagan, indigenous traditions at the Vatican and defended their rights to their identity and connection to the earth. The meetings were coordinated by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) a specialized agency of the United Nations.
Instead of teaching these precious souls for whom Christ died for that there is no other name under heaven whereby we can be saved, Pope Francis encouraged these sincere pagan people to stay in their sins.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6.
If there had been another way for people to be saved then Jesus wouldn’t have come to this earth to die. In fact the night before Christ’s crucifixion Jesus prayed:
“And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.” Matthew. 26:39.
What was Jesus saying? He was asking His father if there were any other way by which man can get into heaven without the Cross of Calvary. But the answer from heaven was that there is no other name and no other way that man can be saved except though the precious blood of Jesus.
“The central issue is how to reconcile the right to development, both social and cultural, with the protection of the particular characteristics of indigenous peoples and their territories…when planning economic activities which may interfere with indigenous cultures and their ancestral relationship to the earth.”
A love for all things pagan is the hallmark of multiculturalism, pluralism and ecumenism. This will lead us to apostasy. These popular sentiments are contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ because they teach that all faith traditions are equal and all lead us to the same God.
Pope Francis is teaching that as long as we care for the hungry and poor then we are all good enough to get into heaven, and it matters not what name we call our God or whether we worship the earth. This is a departure from the apostolic faith which teaches that on the cross Jesus offered His life as an “atonement” for sin, and all those who accept this sacrifice are reconciled again to the Father.
Multiculturalism will not lead people to repentance and will therefore bring upon the human race the final judgments of God because men are not turning away from sin or paganism.
“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.” Revelation 9:20, 21.
On the other hand, our loving God wants to cleanse us from not just our sins but from all idol worship and pagan religions.
“Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.”
“Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.” Ezekiel 37:23.
God longs to lift us up from the dust and restore us into a special relationship with Him through Jesus Christ our Lord.
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12.
