“In the last scenes of this earth’s history, war will rage. There will be pestilence, plague, and famine. The waters of the deep will overflow their boundaries. Property and life will be destroyed by fire and flood. We should be preparing for the mansions that Christ has gone to prepare for them that love Him“ (Maranatha, p. 174).
We are literally watching World War III playing out right in front of our eyes. The conflict in the Middle East has continued for more than 1,000 days with no clear end in sight. Likewise, the war in Ukraine has now lasted longer than World War I, and there is still no indication that peace is near. Even more concerning is that these conflicts appear to be becoming increasingly interconnected, as more nations are drawn into them through military, political, and economic involvement.
Russia has issued a chilling warning to the West and its leaders, with the message broadcast across Russian state media. On August 3, 2026, the UK’s Express reported the following:
• “Russian state media has broadcast a chilling threat towards Britain and other Western leaders, with a political commentator claiming they ‘keep living only for as long as we allow it’ as he urged Moscow to confront its enemies through the language of strength.” [1]
• “The programme featured political commentator Dimitri Simes, who argued that Russia should stop viewing the West as a potential partner and instead treat it as an enemy. [1]
• “We own the lives of our Western adversaries. They keep living only for as long as we allow it.” [1]
• “Simes then referred to several Western leaders, including US President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and the new Prime Minister of England. He said: ‘They keep living so long as we find it appropriate.’” [1]
• “The commentator went on to argue that Russia should abandon diplomacy in dealing with its adversaries.” [1]
We were warned that war would not only exist—it would rage. This describes widespread, escalating, and uncontrollable conflict. It aligns with Christ’s warning in Matthew 24:6–7 that there would be “wars and rumors of wars” as one of the unmistakable signs of the end. These inspired statements point to the culmination of human rebellion, revealing that warfare will intensify as sin reaches its peak. Most importantly, these events remind us that these growing conflicts are a solemn sign that we are living in the last days and that Jesus Christ is coming soon.
This is a wake-up call. The world will continue to descend into chaos, but God’s people must prepare their hearts, develop Christlike characters, and fix their hope on heaven. Now is the time to be ready, for Jesus is coming soon. Nomatter how dark the world becomes, if we remain faithful, we can face the future with confidence, knowing that our redemption is drawing near.

The book of Matthew chapter 24 is coming to it’s fulfilment as we approach the end of time? Jesus Ye shall hear the rumors and rumors of wars” nation rising against nation and Kingdom against Kingdom. It’s these threats are not hollow threats as some people in the west may want to assume? It’s Russia is a formidable world military superpower? Russia is now making a comeback to the world supremacy after the fall of Soviet Union. 50% of the members of the government were from the KGB. Russian President Vladimir Putin is now making modernizing efforts to strengthen it’s military might by manufacturing modern equipment ranging from warplanes, missiles, nuclear arms. Today , United States is the strongest nation in the world in terms of economy , diplomacy and military might in terms of billions of dollars being used in the budget . U.S is the biggest spender in the world military budget which is estimated to be about 800 Billion Dollars. But , Russia in terms of defense budget it only spends 81 Billions dollars.
However, there is one particular area where U.S lags behind, the manufacturing of hypersonic missiles. Russia has different varieties of hypersonic missiles, ranging from oresniks, YARS, Zircon, Sarmat. These are very deadly missiles capable of targeting the western capitals such as London , Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Brussels and Washington D.C. These missiles are moving at a speed mach of a sound within 15 minutes they can hit the enemy targets. The most fearful missile which is a horrible nightmare to the western leaders is sarmat, which has a range of 16,000 KM. It is capable of carrying fifteen warheads and can change the the trajectory and manouvre without being intercepted by American missile defense shields. This missile is capable of destroying the continental United States and annhilate France and it’s entire civilization.
This confrontation as we are witnessing is very dangerous than what we witnesed since the cold war. Russia is not alone in this military capabilities countries such as China, North-Korea Iran have these deadly hypersonic missiles. U.S has not even made neither is it near close to one. America is facing a very hostile challenge from it’s adversaries since the end of cold war. The war in Ukraine and Iran has raised world tensions than ever before ? Russian military industries are manufacturing three milion munitions per year , while their NATO counterparts are making 1.2 Munitions. So, these figures are worrying to the western military establishment. Another missile which Russia possesses is poseidon ,it’s underwater missile capable of sinking the British isles out of extinction? So, dear friends this is how world geopolitics are trending. Let’s focus closely on Jesus?
