Simply put: Just like the sacrifice of the Lamb on the Altar of Sacrifice was LITERALLY fulfilled at the Cross (as most Christians believe) then so too of the rest of the system—including the DAY OF ATONEMENT in the Most Holy Place where God Judges from the Mercy Seat by the standard of His Law under His feet in the Ark of the Covenant. No SDA’s have any reason to waiver on this BIBLICALLY SOUND DOCTRINE.
As for WHY most Christians hate the Pre-Advent Judgment and even call it “heresy” is SIMPLE: it drives a stake through the heart of their soteriology.
IF Sacramentalism is true then the Church can do on your behalf here. No need for a real Judgment.
IF Calvinism is true then there is no need of ab actual Judgment of you are predestined. No need for a real Judgment.
IF Once Saved Always Saved is true then you just need to be on the nice list rather than the naughty list from when you “got saved”/ No need for a real Judgment.
IF Universalism is true then No need for a real Judgment.
A Real Judgment Requires Free Will. Only a few denominations believe in free will and many of those don’t want to preach changing so even they don’t take the Judgment serious. It seems most that do happen to give lip service to a Judgment claims it’s the “Great White Throne” Judgment after the 2nd Advent and treat as if He just parades everyone before His throne to show who saved and lost
