The papacy—symbolized by the first beast of Revelation 13—will very soon have its deadly wound healed as the world is literally wondering after the beast. The phrase “the world’ is “flocking to the Catholic Church” actually came from the secular press and is validating John’s end-time prophetic visions. Pope Leo XIV’s popularity, charisma, and global influence are accelerating this healing process, making the papacy not only relevant again but central to world unity—both politically and spiritually.
The fact that Pope Leo XIV is American should not be dismissed as incidental. Revelation 13 also describes a second beast, a power that arises “out of the earth,” symbolizing the United States. This lamb-like beast eventually speaks like a dragon and exercises the power of the first beast, the papacy, causing the earth to worship the first beast whose deadly wound was healed (Revelation 13:12). An American pope represents a symbolic union of both beasts—a figure who carries the global spiritual authority of Rome while appealing to the political powers of the United States.
On June 4, 2025, The Free Press, a secular news media company, published an article titled “How Catholicism Got Cool” and spoke about how a “Catholic Boom” is taking place thanks to the election of an American Pope. The article claims that the “world” is now “flocking to the Catholic Church.” This is not a revival of biblical faith but a false revival that emphasizes unity at the cost of truth. Revelation 17 presents the image of Babylon as a woman sitting on many waters—representing people, multitudes, nations, and tongues—committing spiritual fornication with the kings of the earth. This is the counterfeit unity that consists of the entanglement of the world with the church in corrupt harmony.
The Free Press expressed the following on June 4, 2025:
• “Young Americans and people around the world are flocking to the Catholic Church. The Free Press spoke to them to find out why.” [1]
• “Earlier this year, The Pillar reported a surge in the numbers of aspiring Catholics registering to join the church at Easter. The Diocese of Lansing in Michigan reported a 30 percent spike from the previous year, 633 converts, which is the highest they’ve seen in over a decade. Father Ryan Kaup, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Catholic center, baptized 20 students alone—‘the highest we’ve ever had’—and gave rites of initiation to an additional 50 who were coming into the church from other Christian denominations.” [1]
• “And now, of course, we have an American pope, Leo XIV, who church leaders hope will turbocharge the country’s Catholic boom.” [1]
• “America is not alone. The Catholic boom is also happening in France—which saw a 45 percent increase in the number of adult baptisms this year—and in England—where, due to a surge in Mass attendance, Catholics are on track to outnumber Anglicans for the first time since the Church of England was born.” [1]
• “Why are so many adults in the once-secularized West seeking to be baptized into the Catholic Church?” [1]
• “In an age of instability, people are attracted to ancient traditions; in an age of therapy-speak, there’s something appealing about the tough demands of Catholic doctrine.” [1]
• “Catholicism also has a visual and aesthetic heritage that has translated well into online culture. Catholics have turned out to be surprisingly good at using the internet to evangelize.” [1]
• “The best way to evangelize is to start with what’s beautiful about Catholicism. Then you move to what’s good, then to what’s true. In other words, for many people, it is more effective to begin by appealing to their eyes or their ears than their hearts or minds.” [1]
The secular media is revealing the following final prophetic scenario: The world is not simply flocking to a religion—it is walking blindly into the arms of Rome. This is a modern confirmation of Bible prophecy! This statement agrees precisely with the Seventh-day Adventist understanding of the last day, when the final deceptions will be orchestrated through the union of apostate religion and political powers, with Rome, the papacy, at the center of it all.
Now is the time for God’s people to stand firm, proclaim present truth, and prepare to meet their God. While the world wonders after the beast, God’s remnant must call people out of Babylon (Revelation 18:4), pointing them to true worship, the Sabbath, and faith in Jesus as our High Priest and soon-coming King.

The Truth:
“13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. ”

The last excerpt above reminds me of the following verses: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4 KJV.
