The Spectator, a British political magazine first published in July 1828—and the oldest surviving weekly in the world—has published an article that should serve as a wake-up call for all of us. The very stones are crying out, revealing what is now plainly evident. The article openly asserts that the United States is actively aiding in the restoration of the Catholic Church’s power and global influence. It goes so far as to state that Catholics are “running the show”—a clear indication that they are directing both national and international affairs, even if they are not publicly recognized as the ones pulling the strings.
On May 16, 2025, The Spectator published the following, highlighting the growing influence of Roman Catholicism in Trump’s second administration.
• “The election of the first American pope, Leo XIV, comes at a strange time when a Catholic establishment is running the show in his home country: Vice President J.D. Vance, of course, as well as Health Secretary RFK Jr., Border Czar Tom Homan, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, to name the most prominent few. Melania is allegedly one as well. They are American exceptionalists who want to Make America Great Again and, in the process, Make Catholicism Great Again too.” [1]
• “Catholics see a friend in the president. They turned out for Trump in the last election, who won their vote by a 15-point margin.” [1]
• “The president is responding to that voting block by ‘bringing religion back to our country.’ On National Prayer Day earlier this month, he signed an executive order creating the Religious Liberty Commission, which will produce a report on ‘anti-Christian bias’ and threats to religious liberty in America. ‘They say ‘separation between church and state.’ I said, ‘Alright, let’s forget about that for one time,’ the president told an audience in the Rose Garden.” [1]
• “For the past two years, Trump’s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, has hosted a ‘Catholic Prayer for America’ event organized by Catholics for Catholics.” [1]
• “The Catholic Church has an institutional strength that Trump and his followers respect.” [1]
• “The Church’s appeal within the Republican Party largely comes down to its unity under the pope, whose authority on faith and morals Catholics believe is infallible.” [1]
• “While Donald Trump might not be the perfect candidate, he has transformed the Republican party in some very positive ways for Catholics.” [1]
• “I’d like to be pope,” Trump joked when asked who he hoped the conclave would choose. He has been remaking the presidency along the lines of an executive papacy.” [1]
• “Trump might not have the authority of Peter, but as he said in his inauguration speech, he was ‘saved by God to make America great again.’ If MAGA Catholics feel Leo XIV can’t make Catholicism great again, they know someone who might.” [1]
It is deeply disconcerting and prophetically troubling to hear Catholics proclaim that if Pope Leo XIV can’t make Catholicism great, then they are confident Donald Trump will. Such statements reveal a dangerous merging of religious and political agendas that echoes the warnings of Revelation 13, where church and state unite to enforce a counterfeit form of worship. When US presidents take it upon themselves to restore Catholic dominance in national affairs, this signals a revival of the very conditions that led to centuries of spiritual oppression and persecution.
The United States, symbolized by the second beast in Revelation 13:11–17, is a nation that starts with lamb-like qualities, civil and religious freedoms, but ends up speaking like a dragon through an authoritarianism that will impose religious conformity. Trump—while claiming to be Protestant—has shown significant alignment with Catholic interests by appointing Catholic judges to the Supreme Court, promoting Catholic traditions and doctrines in the White House and Mar-a-Lago, and appealing to Christian nationalism, which blends patriotism with religion—often linked with Catholic traditions.
The growing influence and exaltation of Catholic doctrines in America and around the world is a significant prophetic concern for those who understand the end-time implications of a church-state union. Revelation 13 warns that the second beast—the United States—will eventually “exercise all the power of the first beast before him”—Papal Rome—and will “cause the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed” (Revelation 13:12). When this prophecy is fulfilled, it will usher in the final crisis, culminating in the enforcement of the mark of the beast.
“The Catholics bid the Protestants to go forward and issue a decree that all who will not observe the first day of the week instead of the seventh shall be slain, and the Catholics, whose numbers are large, will stand by the Protestants. The Catholics will give their power to the image of the beast, and then Protestants will work as their mother worked before them to destroy the saints. But before their decrees bring forth or bear fruit, the saints will be delivered by the voice of God” (Letters and Manuscripts 15, 1850).

This article echoes what the Revelator says; in (Revelation 13:2) .And he exerciseth the power of the first beast whose wound was healed. For those S.D.A students of bible prophecy know very well that the deadly wound of the Papacy was healed on 11th, February ,1929 after Cardinal Gaspparri restored the Vatican City to the authority of Popes. Italy’s Prime Minister Benito Mussolini agreed to give the Papacy it’s sovereign power. The San Fransisco Chronicle Newspaper in U.S published the following words in confirmation to fulfillment of of (Revelation 13:3)” HEAL THE WOUND OF MANY YEARS”.So, from 1929, papacy has tried to ensure it gains the world dominance and uniting political and religious leaders under her supremacy. Recently some few days ago, the Jesuit magazine published an article saying Pope Leo XIV, Will destroy America from within, and this has been the goal of the Jesuits. For the last 200 years , they have actively sought ti destroy the democratic tenets of the great American country and trampling down the freedom of the religious liberty. Now from now this year,2025 anything can happen until the near future which nobody knows till when. Since it’s God who knows nobody has the idea. God alone knows when this event will take place to close the events of the world’s history.
The Jesuits goal is to put the United States and government institutions including all arms of the Government :Executive, Judiciary, Congress, under the Vicar of Christ(Pope). All the supreme court judges are Roman Catholics and they make decisions aligning to Rome. Even the House of Representatives many members are Roman Catholics or Jesuit pawns.
And let it be remembered, it is the boast of Rome that she never changes. The principles of Gregory VII. and Innocent III. are still the principles of the Romish Church. And had she but the power, she would put them in practice with as much vigor now as in past centuries. Let the principle once be established in the United States, that the church may employ or control the power of the State; that religious observances may be enforced by secular laws; in short, that the authority of church and State is to dominate the conscience, and the triumph of Rome in this country is assured. {GC88 580.3}
God’s Word has given warning of the impending danger; let this be unheeded, and the Protestant world will learn what the purposes of Rome really are, only when it is too late to escape the snare. She is silently growing into power. Her doctrines are exerting their influence in legislative halls, in the churches, and in the hearts of men. She is piling up her lofty and massive structures, in the secret recesses of which her former persecutions will be repeated. Stealthily and unsuspectedly she is strengthening her forces to further her own ends when the time shall come for her to strike. All that she desires is vantage-ground, and this is already being given her. We shall soon see and shall feel what the purpose of the Roman element is.
