Where it all began
The Bible is the only document that gives the correct description of the nature of God and of man. It only describes their true relationship with each other. The oft-rejected narrative portrays God as the Creator and man as His greatest creation. This incomparable ancient masterpiece presents the most accurate record of man’s beginnings, his history, his current condition, and his destiny.
The Bible is a special book. It’s unlike any that has ever been written in the drama of human experience. One of its unique qualities, and there are many, that makes the Bible so special is its inherent ability to foretell the future and then watch it come to pass precisely as foretold. It’s God’s book, and only a God who knows the future can reveal to us exactly what will happen before it comes to pass.
His servant Peter records, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (2 Peter 1:19-21).
Similarly, the ancient seer, Isaiah, declared, “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them (Isaiah 42:9). Jesus Himself would proclaim, “Now I tell you before it comes, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I Am He (John 13:19).
This indestructible divine classic has been remarkably accurate in prophesying the ruling powers of the earth. Just as it has predicted, the annals of human history are littered with the magnificence of great empires, which share a common DNA—they rise, dominate, and then fall. From the time of the Babylonian Empire to our present day, it boasts a 100% accuracy rate in foretelling the nations that would rule supreme over the human family and have an impact on God’s Plan of Redemption for the human soul. Foretold more than 600 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, those powers have been undeniably identified in the historical record as Babylon, Media/Persia, Greece, Imperial Rome, the Roman Papacy, and the United States of America.
Subsequent to them all, the Bible foretold of one kingdom that will rise. Not only will it be more magnificent and glorious than any that has preceded it, but unlike its predecessors, it will never fall. It will, the record reveals, last forever.
Even as many are wondering, yea, most are speculating: who will be the next superpower? Will it be China? Will Russia be next? Will Islam hold universal sway? How long will that next superpower reign? Who will rule over the New World Order? The conflict in the Middle East has amplified those speculations. The guesses are proliferating. But God’s word, more than 2,500 years ago, foretold with divine specificity the flowing stream of human history and what will be the ultimate result.
Unfolding the Scrolls
The year was around 606 BC. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon invaded the Jewish nation and took many of its citizens captive. Among those were four very intelligent and God-fearing young men who showed great potential of being valuable in the king’s court. We know them as Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendigo.
Not too long after their captivity, a crisis arose. King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that was extremely impressionable, but he was unable to recall its details. He thought it was of great importance and wanted to know the meaning thereof. The king threatened to kill his so-called wise men if they could not bring the dream to his remembrance and give him its interpretation. Of course they couldn’t.
But the God who knows all things, particularly the future, alleviated the king’s consternation. Through His servant Daniel, God revealed to the monarch of Babylon the history of the world from his [Nebuchadnezzar] time to the end of the world as we know it. Daniel explained to Nebuchadnezzar that earth’s history will culminate with the second coming of Jesus Christ and His eternal rule over the affairs of men. He not only revealed to the king what he dreamt, but he also explained to him precisely what it meant.
Daniel reminded King Nebuchadnezzar that he dreamt of an image of a man that was unusually large. It had a golden head. The chest and arms were made of silver. The belly was composed of brass. The legs were molded of iron. The feet and toes were a commingling of iron and dirty clay. Finally, there was a stone that descended out of the heavens and struck the image on the feet of iron and clay, grinding the entire image into oblivion.
Daniel then interpreted to the king that the different metals of the image represented the empires that would rule the world from Daniel’s time in Babylon to the second coming of Jesus, who will then set up His New World Order. The head of gold represented Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar’s empire. Then came the Medes and the Persians, typified by the chest and arms of silver. They were followed by the Grecian empire of Alexander the Great, symbolized by the brass. The legs of iron and feet of iron and clay foretold of the Roman Empire, first in its pagan form and then in its Papal form. It would dominate the world until Jesus returns. This is exactly where we are today, as the peoples of the nations of the ancient Roman Empire have established the current world empire, the American Experiment.
This dying empire has brought the world to the verge of a stupendous crisis, and our Only refuge is in Jesus Christ, the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. As it seeks to resuscitate itself by uniting state powers with religious forces, Jesus is preparing to establish His New World Order as was typified by that stone that was cut out without hands and crushed Nebuchadnezzar’s image.
Renowned late 19th-century Bible commentator Ellen G. White poignantly described humanity’s current state of affairs: ”The present is a time of overwhelming interest to all living. Rulers and statesmen, men who occupy positions of trust and authority, thinking men and women of all classes, have their attention fixed upon the events taking place about us. They are watching the strained, restless relations that exist among the nations. They observe the intensity that is taking possession of every earthly element, and they realize that something great and decisive is about to take place– that the world is on the verge of a stupendous crisis” (White, Ellen G., Maranatha 266).
One of those events of overwhelming interest is President Donald Trump issuing a proclamation designating May as Jewish American Heritage Month. Additionally, he called for a National Sabbath to be observed from sundown on May 15th to nightfall on May 16th. His proclamation ties the observance to the 250th anniversary of American independence and frames it as a moment of rest, reflection, and gratitude to God. The Jewish community is ecstatic.
Rabbi Dr. Stuart Halpern, Senior Adviser to the Provost of Yeshiva University and Deputy Director of Y.U.’s Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought, declared in a popular online Jewish publication, “The recent proclamation, then, while undoubtedly historic, builds on a great American tradition of respecting, accommodating, and celebrating the seventh day as a source of spiritual uplift” (Rabbi Dr. Stuart Halpern, Aish.com, May 10, 2026).
Strange Alliances
Immediately following the celebration of Shabbat ordered by the president will be the celebration “Rededicate 250: A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving,” scheduled for May 17. From all indications, this event promises to be grand and deeply impactful on the nation. The lineup of speakers, all calling for the reunification of church and state to bring about peace, unity, and moral upliftment, reads like a who’s who in government and religion. The cast of characters includes the following:
• Mike Johnson: U.S. House of Representatives Speaker
• Robert Barron: Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Winona–Rochester
• Pete Hegseth, U.S. Secretary of War
• Dr. Ben Carson: Former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
• Rabbi Meir Soloveichik: Congregation Shearith Israel in New York City
• Franklin Graham: President and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association
• Paula White: Donald Trump’s Spiritual Advisor
• Abigail Robertson: Christian Broadcasting Network correspondent
• Cardinal Timothy Dolan: Archdiocese of New York
• Marco Rubio: U.S. Secretary of State
The central theme of this celebration is the idea that America was founded as a Christian nation and needs to return to its Christian roots. Collective praying by government and religious entities, its proponents believe, will achieve that goal. In a manifesto entitled Prayers and Proclamations throughout American History, these ideas are skillfully laid out. Karissa Waddick, national news reporter for USA TODAY, noted, “Historians and religious experts have raised alarm that its inclusion (designating the nation Christian) represents a broader effort by President Donald Trump’s administration to recast the nation’s origins as explicitly Christian during the country’s 250th anniversary year” ( Waddick, Karissa, USA Today, May 10, 2026).
The concerns of those historians and religious experts are undoubtedly centered around the facts of history and the flagrant disregard for the United States Constitution, particularly the First Amendment in which the separation of church and state is plainly enunciated. Nevertheless, the architects of and chief players in this enterprise have all vehemently voiced their sentiments that the First Amendment does not mean what it says. In fact, the sitting president, who has demonstrated his blatant disrespect for the US Constitution, has enthroned a Religious Liberty Commission, on which several of the speakers sit.
The focal point of this cabal of government incompetents and religious zealots is the implementation of Sunday sacredness. Cardinal Timothy Dolan, a key player and influential Roman Catholic, has strongly urged a “Sunday reset” for Catholics, advocating for a return to Sunday as a sacred day of rest and Eucharist, free from unnecessary work and shopping. He emphasizes this as a necessary spiritual renewal, centering the week on the Mass, which he describes as the “anchor” and “source and summit” of Christian life. The same sentiment is expressed in the government’s Project 2025 agenda.
What does it truly mean when the sitting president calls the nation back to the Sabbath in our 250th year celebration while his fervent religious supporters advocate for Sunday sacredness? One is free to speculate, but what it undoubtedly proves is that Creator God’s word can be trusted and that its prophetic voice is becoming more distinct and louder. John the Revelator foretold precisely that this unification of church and state will be manifested, first here in America, then across the world. More specifically, he pointed out that despite some doctrinal and/or political differences, all these entities would unite under the leadership of the Papal power.
God’s servant reported, “So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth” (Revelation 17:3-5).
John continued, “These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast” (Revelation 17:13). And what is that one mind that constitute their common objective? John answers, “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful” (Revelation 17:14).
As this amalgamation of diverse religious and political forces evolves, a couple of seismic shifts must inevitably take place in order that true unity may be experienced: Either untold Christians must embrace God’s Seventh-day Sabbath and/or a plethora of Jews must accept Jesus Christ as their chosen Messiah. It’s hard to understand how celebrating Shabbat while rejecting Yeshua as the promised Messiah brings unity with Christians. In a similar fashion, it’s difficult to comprehend how embracing Sunday sacredness, rather than accepting God’s sign of authority, His holy and blessed Sabbath day, leads to unification with Jews. Nevertheless, the common enmity against Jesus Christ, as John points out, provides the glue for their unification.
The current US + Israel vs. Iran conflict has the potential for indeed bringing on that stupendous crisis. But the God of all creation, Daniel’s God, is yet holding back the winds of strife that would bring about the time of trouble such as has not been seen since there was a nation. Says He through His servant John, “And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads” (Revelation 7:2-3).
The picture here presented is that the Governor of the universe is extending His last message of mercy, even to a world on the brink of eternal destruction, so that men can still make the right choice. They must choose Him or the enemy of their souls. Sadly, however, the record reveals that most would choose the latter. Don’t be one of them.
Almost the whole world believing that Leo and his church can bring peace to the human family does not make it factual. God has a completely different view. Today you must choose Him or be in the company making war against Him while sincerely believing that they are serving and working with Him.
